Celeste didn't know whose hair she'd stolen, but the girl was dead now. She hadn't stood a chance against her anyhow, and she didn't even have to use a naughty hex to get the job done, all it took was to stop her heart. Celeste had gotten good at that spell. She then set the body on fire and sent it somewhere else. She cut the hair from her head, and she shoved it into her stuff, and sent it home, she would need this for potions in the future. She couldn't just parade around looking like herself, so she had to wear this scag's meat for the time being. She looked at herself and she couldn't believe this was still her. "Dégueulasse." She said as she moved out of the woods.
She had been told to meet him just into town, and she didn't know exactly where that was. She swayed her hips as she walked. She could get used to this! She actually had a body now! It was something she was not used to. She usually had to fight for her figure, which wasn't always worth it. Her slim build didn't make for perfection as she would have wished. She ran her hands over her sides, and she smiled to herself, enjoying the feeling of her hands on skin that was hers, but at the same time, wasn't hers at all.
She stopped marveling at her new found looks as she moved down the path into the village. She rolled her lips back into a bit of a snarl, and she was not happy to be back around these idiots, she knew she was above them, and soon enough she would get to make them all pay and in the name of her Lord, she would let no one escape her sight. She moved towards getting to Lucius so the plans could begin. She kept her head up, and she walked slowly, and she let her eyes watch those around her, she hadn't seen him yet. He was slippery.
She did eventually spot him, and she decided to make an entrance. She moved slowly, and touched the lower part of his back. She nestled her hands onto his trim hips, and she slipped herself into his personal space. "Joyeux Halloween." She said in a slur of French and English accents while her words were straight from the yellowed country of France.

Lucius was waiting patiently for Celeste. He hated the fact that he was going to be in her company again, but it was all that he could do to make his Lord happy. Hands in his pockets, he leaned against the nearest wall and just stared into the crowed of his fellow classmates. He scowled slightly and muttered curses under his breath. What he wouldn't give to just go with the plan now. But he knew he had to be patient. He and Celeste were just attention-getters. Nothing more. Not yet anyway. He let out a breath and crossed his arms. Where the hell was this girl? He glanced around himself, but couldn't see anything in the shadows. Who knows what she was up to. She was a girl...maybe she was working on her costume still. She couldn't exactly waltz in being herself. It would ruin everything.
Moments later, he heard footsteps behind him. His eyes narrowed and he wrapped his hand around his wand tightly. Just before he pulled it from his pocket, he felt the person's hands on his hips, and them get closer. Only one person would dare do that to him. Celeste. Then she spoke behind him, in a mix of english and french. Then he knew for sure it was the obnoxious Lemeuix that he couldn't stand. Without looking behind him, he reached his hand back, and took her hand. They had an agreement for the evening. They'd tolerate each other, or more...Lucius would tolerate her, to make sure everything went exactly as planned. He pulled her around, eyes still ahead of him. "So far, everyone that I can see...is here," he said, quitely.
He doubted that anyone would stay in the castle for the festivites. They'd be crazy if they did. Even if Lucius wasn't doing this for Voldemort, he'd be down there, continuing to woo Narcissa and actually enjoying the night. But he was currently here on business. He pulled Celeste out from behind him, so they could go into the Village. As he did, he caught the sight of blonde hair out of the corner of his eye. His eyebrow rose and looked directly at Celeste. He knew it was her from the way she acted and the way she spoke, but it did not look like her. His eyes moved down her..."new" body, in awe. She was actually...attractive.
He shook his thoughts and gave her a smug smirk. "Wow, Celeste. You actually have a nice figure now," he stated. He knew it was cruel, but he didn't care. "Where was this one hiding, and why couldn't you do it sooner?" He would've greatly perferred this girl to the actual Celeste. Sure, Celeste was pretty, but she wasn't really something that Lucius really wanted. She was just his toy for the time being and he had quickly moved on. He lifted her hand above her and turned her around, so he could see all of her. This girl was definitely something he could get used to.

She spotted him, and her walk was slow, calculated and slow. She didn't want to give herself away with her normal slither, but she had to make herself look natural, not that she didn't normally look natural, she looked overly natural, but the longer legs in this case were not what she expected. She didn't like this much distance between her and the ground. She smiled at some as she past them, and they would look her over, that sort of thing she could get used to, it was a powerful feeling. She liked power, it was....empowering, for lack of a better word.
She felt herself being tugged around to the front of him. She felt vulnerable for the first time in a while. His eyes were on her, and she didn't know what to make of the stare. She felt herself swallow, and for once in her life, she was scared of rejection. Normally, he tolerated her as a piece of ass, and now, he gave her a look that was more like she was something to be...sexed and desired all at once, it was new. She felt the corners of her mouth sag, and she brought her hands over her middle, not liking this much skin showing.
She should have expected a comment like that from him. She tolerated it enough, and she didn't feel the need to off him, if all this went well, then she could have had whatever pureblood she wanted, and she flipped her hair over her shoulder, the blond tresses still throwing her off, making her feel like she was being followed. She swallowed, and she looked back at him. "Bite me, Lucius." She said with a hairflip, but a small smile despite herself. It was a rather uncomfortable smile. "I am a veela afterall, I'm allowed to be attractive for once in my life." She snapped back, cocking her hips to the side.
She looked over the group, and she could see idiots she'd gone to school with around her, and she gave them belittling looks. She pressed her tongue to the back of her teeth, and she swallowed again, her nerves getting the better of her. She didn't know what all was supposed to be going on here, but she wanted it to get a move on, so she knew they had to get a move on. "Let's get to it." She said with a glance, her hands still gripping her sides.

Lucius wasn't expecting to have Celeste look like this for the plan they were part of. He was definitely going to enjoy spending time with this Celeste. His eyebrow rose with her statement. "Bite you?" he said with a smirk. He leaned forward and brought his lips close to her cheek. "Don't tempt me, Lemieux." Of course, he wouldn't do too much. He was still chasing after Narcissa and he thought it was going pretty good. So right now, he couldn't do anything with Celeste, even if he wanted to. And he did want to...a little bit, but he stopped himself completely. They had to think about the task on hand, not screwing the crazy Lemieux sister. He laughed at the veela statement. "Yes, but my dear...you're only a quarter veela...correct? So you can only be a little attractive. Not..." His eyes moved over her new body again. "This."
He gave her a smirk and turned back to the festivites in front of them. Everyone was so happy, running around and getting treats. It was disgusting. When Celeste spoke again, Lucius nodded. They needed to get to work. They needed to see when would be the best time to have the attack happen. They didn't have much of an important job, but it needed to get done. He grabbed her hand and put her arm around his. It had to look believable that she was there with him. "Let's try and make it...sort of believable. Okay Lemieux?" If they acted any different, it wouldn't go over very well. Lucius wasn't about to let this go wrong. He wasn't about to get tortured for screwing this night up. He didn't want that to happen. He wouldn't be able to do that to his family. The first attack for him and he already messed it up? No. That wouldn't happen at all.

Ana wasn’t particularly fond of dressing up for Halloween, that aspect of the Holiday seemed rather Muggle to her and she despised that lot. But nonetheless, she found herself donning a hugely ruffled black dress with a large plaid bow around her upper waist and bosom, something that she wouldn’t have worn on any other day because it just seemed too dressy and costume-y for her everyday taste. The dress was rather short, ending several inches above her knees and only covering up the essentials and nothing else. She donned a pair of black high heels with a beaded bow that arched over her toes and lastly she fasten an ornately decorated black and grey feathered Venetian mask to her face to ensure that he identity was concealed.
Of course she had been in contact with her sister after she had been expelled from Hogwarts—they were deceivingly closer to each other than most people would have guessed and she supported her twin’s decision wholeheartedly. She especially had approved of Celeste’s method of getting kicked out, attacking that mudblooded cousin of theirs had been a wonderful idea and Ana was a little disappointed that she hadn’t been around to witness the row between the two of them. Ohwell, if all went well tonight then perhaps she and the rest of the wizarding world wouldn’t have to worry about those pesky mudbloods and blood traitors anymore.
While she wasn’t a Death Eater quite yet, she was still kept relatively informed by not only her sister, but the rest of her family as well so she was well aware that tonight was going to be a lot more exciting than she had originally thought when the idea of a Halloween Festival had been mentioned by the school faculty. No, tonight would definitely be a lot more interesting…
Pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind, she snatched her wand from her bedside table and muttered a quick glamour spell to tease her already curly hair, making it look attractively wild. Stuffing her wand down the front side of her dress [she didn’t want to bring a purse or clutch because she knew it would probably get lost in the excitement later on] the Slytherin turned on her heel and click clacked down the stairs of her dormitory, exiting the common room and then the castle altogether moments later. She soon found herself joining the throngs of students and wizarding civilians alike down in the humble village of Hogsmeade.
Her lips curved into a flirtatious smirk, directed at a certain head of platinum blond hair that drew her attention—there was only one person that she knew with that particular hair color. Ana’s eyes then drifted to the blond beside him, catching a quick glimpse of her, was that Narcissa Black? No, it wasn’t. Narcissa was extraordinarily beautiful, and while this blond was quite pretty she didn’t hold a candle to the younger Black sister. Analiese found herself slinking closer to the pair, one of her perfectly manicured eyebrows lifting in amusement as she watched the two bicker, the tension rolling of the two was practically tangible.
“Good evening you two. It’s good to see that the two of you are as close as ever.” She smirked, after observing the two for a moment or two it wasn’t hard to decipher who the blond was—Celeste was clever, and honestly, it was an extremely good idea for her to take the identity of another. After all, she had been expelled and probably wasn’t very welcome anywhere close to the school or the area surrounding it.

She wanted to say she loved the feel of his face so close to hers, but she didn't, he wasn't anything to or with her anymore, he was chasing some skirt of some dumb blond who probably couldn't stand up for herself in any sort of altercation. What good were his affections now? And, they were not truly affections towards her in any sense of the word, they were merely because she had a nice rack and slender frame now, and she almost pushed him away, but what good would it have done? None, most likely. "I am a quarter Veela, yes." Her answer was short, and she only moved her eyes as he brought himself close to her face. He wanted to lose control, he'd have to prove it, and she was sure he didn't, so no need to reciprocate.
She looked as he took her arm, and she let it go. She trusted him enough to do that much. He'd touched her plenty of times so there was no need to be jumpy about it now. She kept herself by his side, looking natural as she said. He wanted to look natural? She'd give him natural. She moved closer to him, and she forced a smile, as if she was having a good time. It was much easier to force a smile with his face, it seemed more natural, she guessed that was due to the fact the girl probably smiled all the time, never for any reason, just because she was too stupid to know what was happening.
She could hear another approaching, and she wanted to grab for her wand and show them who was boss. She then looked to see it was only here sister. She was a bit relieved by that fact, they hadn't been completely obvious, though Lucius wasn't making things easy. Things should have been easy when they could have been, just look at her and her sister, they both fell into that category, they always made things easy.
She spoke, her voice trying to appear falsely chipper, it was hard to be chipper around Lucius sometimes. "If Mr. Malfoy would just get his head out of his ass we could get to having a good time." She said deceptively. Good times? For them she supposed, for anyone against them? No the idea.
The looks others were giving them started unnerve the slightly older Lémieux girl. The looks others were giving her made her skin crawl. A first year strode too close for her liking, and just like that, all bets were off, and it was on. "Confringo! She snarled, blowing a hole in a wall, some of the pieces raining down on the boy. She snarled, and flung the boys lifeless body into a group by the punch bowl. She hoped they knew what this meant.

. A N D. N O W. M Y. B I T T E R. H A N D S.
. C R A D L E. B R O K E N. G L A S S. Ruben didn’t do parties, he didn’t do holidays, he didn’t do large social gatherings of people he barely knew and barely spoke to. Most were children attending the Halloween festival and h wanted nothing to do with them either. He didn’t want to small talk with teachers who he didn’t care much for anyway. He didn’t want to dress up in some ridiculous costume for a holiday that had nothing to do with parties and candy and costumes. Halloween was a Christian holiday to celebrate God’s saints of the churches. It has nothing to do with candy or silly costumes or blood and guts or haunted houses and silly school dances. This was a joke to Ruben and he had no desire to take part in it. He had planned on spending the night in his office correcting papers quietly, however plans had changed quickly after his meeting with Voldemort and it ended up with Ruben in Hogsmeade.
He had refused to dress up, teachers poked fun at him for being such a downer but he simply swore at them under his breath and nodded to their stupid comments on his simple attire. He wasn’t going to let Voldemort down and if he was told to be here then he would be here. The young man strolled around Hogsmeade with a glass of punch in his hands, desperately wishing for something stronger that would get him through the night. Children ran past him quickly cackling like witches and droning like ghosts. He caught a couple of seventh years making out in a dark corner and was happy to be the first to break that up. The music was beginning to get to him and he no longer wanted to hear the silly Halloween music that talked of witches and ghosts and ghouls. Ruben couldn’t even remember celebrating Halloween as a child. His father was rather strict and didn’t believe in silly nonsense such as begging for candy or dressing up or carving pumpkins. It was all wish wash to him and that was that. Ruben didn’t mind too much, it wasn’t an important holiday and had no real bearing on the type of person he was. Well that wasn’t true…it probably contributed to him being such a hard ass.
He acknowledged a few teachers as he made his way to hogs head. He threw out his punch cup and replaced it with something much more satisfying, fire whiskey. He thanked the bartender, leaving a nice tip because this man wasn’t a fan of this holiday either and took a seat at one of the old dirty wooden tables outside the bar. The drink went down warm and made Ruben smirk. He knew most children wouldn’t wander around Hogs Head and if they did Ruben had the opportunity to rip them a new one for thinking just because it was a silly holiday meant the rules were bent for them. Children thought everything was about them and that was what annoyed him. Like the universe revolved around them, but if any of them managed to crack a book open once in awhile knew that was physically impossible and they had to get over themselves. Ruben took another sip and watched people run through Hogsmeade laughing and joking around. Ruben couldn’t remember everything being a child like that, probably because it was such a small part of his past. People often thought Ruben was never a kid, he just came out as an adult. Ruben wouldn’t be surprised.
But when it was time to get down to business, Ruben finished he drink and headed out. He knew he had to keep a low profile as Voldemorts plan unfolded, he was a trusty spy and couldn't blow that by killing a student or being seen hurting someone. He walked over to the area where Celeste and Lucius stood, there was another Slytherin girl there he only briefly knew from class. He was keeping an eye on the young ones, knowing very well that they could get out of hand. Ruben was rather gifted at jinxs and also very good at hiding them so you didn't even know he was casting a spell at your ass. Ruben eyed the children but said nothing.
[/blockquote] This lovely post was written for OPEN!, and has 709 words in it. Ruben is wearing THIS!I just wanted to say that I want Ruben in on the action except he is a teacher so he is put in a difficult spot. He could be protecting the younger ones so they could be attacking and he could be watching their backs for them. Something that won't get him in trouble after obviously. This was brought to you by GABBU OF CAUTION 2.0, and PEARL JAM - BLACK!

Lucius rolled his eyes slightly. He was already sick of being in her company, even if she didn't look like herself anymore. Sure, she was hot looking now, but she was still herself under that other girl's skin. And that wasn't always fun. He moved away from her and let out a breath. Soon he heard anothr voice. One he was very familiar with and a smirk formed on his face. Analiese. She was the only one of the two he actually liked. She was sane and didn't freak out when he talked to other girls. He narrowed his eyes at Celeste when she said his head was up his ass. He looked back at Ana and shook his head. "My head's not up my ass, thank you." He was very good at keeping it out of there.
He glanced over his shoulder when he heard more footsteps. Hand wrapped around his wand, he kept his eyes focused on the area of where he heard the steps. It was only Professor Fenmore. Lucius knew why he was really there. He gave his teacher a small nod and turned back to the girls with him. It wasn't long until Celeste shot a spell at a building, causing it to explode. He smirked and looked at the two. "Time for some real fun," he stated, pulling his wand out. He aimed at another building, once by a bigger crowd of students. "Incendio!"
He grinned and looked at Celeste and Ana. "Split up," he said simply, pulling his hood on. "Anyone asks...we have no idea what happened. And you..." he said looking at Celeste, "make sure you have a nice explination or something about...you." They didn't need a screw up. But the attack was finally happening, and that was all that mattered right now.

She laughed, her eyes crinkling at the corners, signifying that laughing was something that she did quite often. Honestly, if you were friends with Sirius you’d be used to laughing too, whether he meant to or not [which, he probably did, he loved attention] he was always saying or doing something to make her laugh. She loved that about him, his ability to keep her entertained—whether it be by doing something particularly naughty…or just by talking and telling her jokes. There certainly was never a dull moment when he was involved. “Well, I don’t know if I’d want to date my cousin—but then again I guess it wouldn’t really matter since I’m not a pureblood so my blood’s a little more diluted. I guess that would make everything okay, right?” Eavan didn’t even realize that she’d slipped up and mentioned the ‘date’ word as well, but they were speaking hypothetically, of course, so it’s not like it would have mattered anyhow, right..?
Ave rolled her eyes playfully, “I know what the word is, Sirius. It just…feels weird saying it out loud, you know?” A light laugh reverberated within her chest, he of all people should have known what she meant by that since he was just as prone to commitment issues as she was.
Her eyes lit up in amusement and she teasingly let her fingers trail up his smooth legs and slip beneath his skirt, as if to check and see whether he really had shaved everywhere. “Wow, that’s impressive. Most guys I know aren’t as secure with their masculinity as you are, they’d never even dare to do what you’ve done for tonight.”
The blonde straightened in her seat when she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her, whispering a playful ‘hey babe’ in her ear. She knew that voice and she sincerely wished that he hadn’t just done that in front of Sirius like that, was James stupid? He was going to give away their secret and she was not okay with that. James was a good guy and she didn’t feel like having him [or her] suffer the wrath of an angry Sirius Black. Playing it off, she grinned, “Oi mate, perhaps you should get your eyes checked, yeah? Last I checked I didn’t have red hair and temperamental issues.” She leaned back in her chair and tilted her head back so far that she had to strain her eyes and stare up at James to see him properly. Blinking once, twice, three times…she let out a loud bout of laughter, “Wow, you two were incredibly creative with your costumes! I should’ve come to you lot for costume help—I could’ve had the two of you dress me.” She winked playfully.
Surprise jolted through her when she felt Sirius position himself over her in a protective manner, as if he were the Alpha wolf guarding his mate. It really shocked her to see him acting like this, giving James the cold shoulder while gripping her tightly, he was making a scene, not that she really minded. But hearing him say such things and observing his actions…she really wished that she was telepathic just for the sake of reading his mind and finding out what he was thinking at that precise moment.
The thought didn’t have the chance to marinate very long before she heard a loud bang and found herself coughing from the inhalation of smoke and dust, caused from the sudden blast that had come out of nowhere and decimated the wall closest to them. Blue-grey eyes widened and she quickly slipped her hand down the front side of her costume, yanking out her wand and clutching it tightly.
“What the hell is going on?” She asked, her voice lost in the commotion as she felt herself being tugged out of the chair and dragged towards the turmoil. Through the clearing smoke and dust she could make out the fleeing figures of some of the party-goers, and found herself positioning herself against both Sirius and James, afraid that if she moved away from either of them they’d be lost in the panic and she’d never see either of them again. That thought alone was enough to scare her, but she needed to be strong. She needed to go with them and find out [and hopefully stop?] whatever the hell was going on. She quickly caught sight of the lifeless body of a younger student lying unceremoniously in a heap by the punch bowl and her stomach churned, her face paling. This was a lot more serious than she initially expected….

Lily never was one for dressing up, nor was she ever the person that really enjoyed parties or social gatherings. In fact, she tended to avoid them. The Halloween Festival, however, was a must. Merlin knows she didn't want to go - she would have preferred finishing her homework or reading a nice novel in the common room by the fire - but Marlene had already gotten her a costume. She loved her friend dearly, but really! She wouldn't even allow Lily to pay her back for her purchase, and guilted her into attending anyway. And what costume would Marlene purchase for her muggleborn-best-friend?
A witch's costume.
Not the typical fashions of the Wizarding world, but a witch costume from a Muggle store. "How ironic," Marlene had said when she handed Lily the outfit, "A muggleborn going to the Halloween festival dressed as a witch! Do you think the purebloods will get it?"
Lily sighed, adjusting her hat once more. She turned away from the mirror in the public restroom and, reluctantly, exited the tiny pub into the crowded streets of Hogsmeade. However much she tried to disguise it as a mere want to remain in the castle, Lily couldn't shake the feeling of unease in the pit of her stomach. She had a bad feeling about tonight, and it wasn't often that her feelings were wrong. The last time she had felt this horrid had been two days before the end of her Fifth Year, but she had merely brushed it aside as part of her mourning of the friendship that had died between her and Sev. When she had arrived home, it had turned out that her gut had not been sympathizing with her grief, but telling her that there was more to come. The feeling she had now...it made her wary.
When she heard the explosion, Lily turned toward the noise immediately, drawing her wand. "Incendio!" Lily turned toward the building she had just exited from, gasping as she saw the flames rising. She joined a few others as they quickly tried to stifle the flames, but Auguamenti did not seem to be enough. Turning back to the caster, she noticed a flash of blonde hair and piercing gray eyes before they were covered by a dark hood. The figure spoke lowly to a few others, and Lily could not stop the surprised gasp that had escaped her. "Malfoy?"
- tag : OPEN/more-than-likely-Potter - notes : I hate to say it, but...even though Lily's perfectly capable of defending herself, it is possible - and probable - that Potter will answer the typical 'damsel in distress' call that was never made and get Lily out of there.
