So don't you worry your pretty little mind,
People throw rocks at things that shine

GOYLE, WHO DO YOU THINK IS THE UGLIEST
GIRL IN SCHOOL? HMM... OH, BUCKBEAK, FOR SURE
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
As a young girl her hair was a short mess of tight ringlets that bounced with every movement she made--but as she grew older her curls loosened a bit, still a mess of blonde ringlets [that now cascade down her back] but not quite as tight and springy as it had been when she was a child. She takes great care of her hair, she knows more than anyone else how much of a pain it can be to forget to brush it and then have to de-tangle a giant rat's nest at the end of the day--needless to say she keeps it well maintained.
EYE DETAILS:
Depending on who you ask, her eyes could be described differently. If you're a guy you'd probably mention how alluring and captivating her baby blue eyes are--words used, no doubt, from the effect the veela in her has on them. But if you ask Nori herself then she certainly wouldn't use such words--she'd describe them as dull and boring, lots of people have blue eyes so what's so special about them?
HEIGHT/WEIGHT/BUILD:
Lenore definitely isn't overweight for her height or age--but she's not as thin as a rail either, she's got curves [as slight as they may be] and she's filled out in all the right places. She's 5'7" and weighs around 128 pounds, she likes to stay in shape by running and swimming in the warmer months.
FACE:
While she's a fairly skinny person, Lenore never fully lost the baby fat on her cheeks, making her susceptible to elderly family members pinching them, much to her annoyance. She has a rather pale complexion, mostly due to the Veela blood in her...but it also doesn't help that she tends to burn in the sun so she avoids staying out in it for long periods of time.
STYLE:
When not wearing the [un-stylish] school uniform Lenore's found wearing cute clothing--mostly pretty little summer dresses, she's got an entire trunk filled with dresses and skirts in various patterns and styles from pleated to ruffled, patterned and solid colored.
FEELINGS:
Lenore tries her hardest to not get angry with others, she has a high tolerance level. Being that she's 3/4s Veela when angry [and I mean incredibly angry] her face contorts, taking on a harpy-like appearance with sharp features. For this, she curses her real family's bloodline for giving her such a terrible curse. If asked what her favorite physical feature on herself is she'd reply, without hesitation, that it was her curly blonde locks. While she may be less than pleased about her Veela blood, she is appreciative that it gave her such fair hair and complexion.

-Brooms & Flying
BOGGART: Being caught in a burning building and ultimately burning to death.
DEMENTOR:
When she was first learning to fly, back in her 1st year, she fell off her broom. Now, she didn't fall from a normal height--her broom had taken her higher than she had wanted and she had no idea how to make it stop or to make it bring her closer to the ground, and she was absolutely terrified! In her fright her grip around the handle of the broom slackened and she lost her balance and plummeted 40 feet to the ground. She was unconscious for a week and a half, suffering from a broken wrist, leg, a couple bruised rips, and a concussion. Needless to say she hasn't flown since.
PATRONUS: When conjuring up a patronus she summons the spectral image of a Snowy Egret, a long and lanky bird that flies with its neck retracted rather than stretched out.
For her 11th birthday her family threw her a grand party, not only to celebrate her birth but also her receiving her letter to Hogwarts. Every one from their immediate family [and even a few cousins, aunts, uncles and her grandparents] as well as all of her neighborhood friends had shown up. It may not be much of a memory in the eyes of others, but to Lenore it was one of the most happiest moments of her life--she had always had a growing trepidation when it came to family because she had never known her birth parents [or the reason as to why they had given her up], but this day had pretty much cemented the idea that the Taylors were her family now and they loved her just as much as they loved their biological children.
AMORENTIA:
Lilacs.
The Forest after it's rained.
The smell of new textbooks.
Morning Dew.
VERITASERUM:
- She's always had the nagging thought in the back of her mind that the Taylors were going to abandon her like her biological parents had. She, of course, realizes that this fear of hers is a little absurd--afterall, the Taylors had shown her nothing but kindness and unadulterated love, she's proud to call herself a Taylor. But still...the fear is there, stemmed from the unanswered questions that she has towards her biological family.
+ Her biological mother was a full-blooded Veela and her biological father was a wizard--making Lenore 3/4s Veela. The only people who know this about her is her family, a few close friends, and the orphanage where the Taylors had adopted her from.
STRENGTHS:
+ Charms
+ Kindness
+ Reading Comprehension
+ Intelligence
+ Drawing
WEAKNESSES:
- Potions
- Divination
- She's a little oblivious to feelings directed towards her
- Children, she absolutely loves little kids!
OVERVIEW:
In summation Lenore can be considered many things; kind hearted, logical, reasonable, tolerable, and intelligent are among some of her good qualities. She enjoys reading muggle literature, specifically fantasy/fiction novels, finding their view on magic and the supernatural to be quite interesting [if not a little bogus sounding, but hey, who is she to judge?], she could spend hours by herself immersed in her reading.
She tends to think things through before tossing in her two-cents or jumping head first into a situation, Lenore isn't very headstrong in that sense and would rather look at a situation from all sides first. Oftentimes she's the mediator between quarreling friends and family, being the voice of reason who tries to calm people down. Though just because she's level-headed and calm for the most part doesn't mean that she isn't capable of ever showing anger towards a situation or person. But that's one emotion that she tries her hardest not to show or feel because when angered the Veela blood in her changes her appearance to that of a sharp-faced harpy, a fantastical beast that she finds to be more troublesome than anything else. For this reason she tends to not broadcast her lineage, preferring that no one know of her blood heritage, keeping it just between her and her family and a few close friends.
Nori is incredibly kind-hearted and will go out of her way to help someone in need, whether it be with tutoring them or helping to cheer them up after being bullied or even walking them to the Hospital Wing if they're hurt or feeling ill. Her motto is that you don't have to know someone to help them and she certainly lives by that.
Artistic is another word that could be used to describe her, when she's not reading or helping out defenseless students she can be found down by the Black Lake painting or sketching the scenery. She specializes in nature but will admit that she's getting quite good at doing portraits of people.
She has a huge fear of thunder and an even greater fear of fire. Little is known why she has such fears, Lenore seems to believe that something happened to her when she was little, before her biological parents gave her up, that lead to the development of these fears.

OVERVIEW:
Lenore doesn’t know much about the life that she had before she turned 3, it remains a mystery that she wishes to one day solve. What she does know is that her mother was a full-fledged Veela and her father was a wizard [whether he was pureblood or not, she doesn’t know], making their daughter 3/4s Veela. For a reason unknown to Lenore, her biological parents dropped her off an a wizarding orphanage at the age of 3 [well, she doesn’t know if they actually left her there on their own accord or if something happened to them] where she was later adopted by the Taylor family who already had a song her age and a daughter a year younger than her, but despite already having children of their own they were looking to expand their growing family.
Growing up there had been no secrets about the adoption, Roberta and Jayson had decided that it was best to tell her from the get go that she was adopted—but that they loved her more than the world itself. In doing this, they hoped that she wouldn’t become some horrible teenager who rebelled against them as soon as she found out that her life had been ‘a lie’ and that she was adopted—this way, she knew from the very start that she wasn’t their biological daughter, and she was okay with that. Or so they thought.
Lenore had always wondered about her biological parents, why had they left her? Was it voluntary or involuntary? Did they love her? Or was she an oops-baby that they decided they no longer wanted to care for? The presence of these questions plagued her mind and instilled the fear in her that maybe, one day, the Taylors would grow tired of her presence in their lives too and drop her off somewhere far away.
Despite her fears, she loved the Taylor family dearly and loved living with them—she and her brother became fairly close, playing silly childrens games together while their parents cared for the two youngest children. While she enjoyed playing outside with her brother, she also enjoyed being inside with her two little sisters; reading to them, teaching them their shapes and colors and ABCs, and just all around keeping them entertained.
As a young girl, Lenore was a decently well-behaved child, there had only been a few mishaps involving temper-tantrums and transformations [and turning into the ugly creature that she had terrified Lenore to no ends! And that was when she decided that she’d be a good girl from then on and try her best to not get angry for fear of becoming a creepy monster].
Fast forward a few years, her brother turned 11 and received his letter to Hogwarts, making Lenore feel a little left out and jealous during the months she had to wait until she too received her letter. Her family threw her a party, like they had done with their son for his birthday as well, Lenore felt as if it was the happiest moment of her life. All throughout her younger years she had feared that her stay with the Taylors would be a temporary thing, logically she knew that they loved her dearly and she loved them back just as much, but the trepidation was always there…
However, the party and all the love that she felt that day helped to cement the thought that there was no way they would ever abandon her like her biological family had.
Her first year attending Hogwarts had been a major disappointment, in more ways than one. First, she had been sorted into Hufflepuff while her brother had gone into Slytherin—she didn’t like being separated from the only person that she knew, and was upset that she wouldn’t get to see him as often as she would have liked.
She made a couple friends, and was a little weirded out by how much attention she seemed to receive, especially from the male population, due to her Veela blood coursing through her. That was also the year her flying career ended. She was learning how to fly a broom and she fell off her broom.
The years that followed weren’t quite as dramatic and painful as her 1st year had been and she found that she actually liked attending school, though she loved summer vacation even more because it meant that they’d get to spend more time together as a family. They didn’t have that luxury during the school year because her brother was usually busy with his Slytherin friends, her sisters were with their Ravenclaw friends, and she herself was busy with her own friends. So it was nice to be able to be together on vacation, going out to dinner, or going out to places as a family.
During her 5th year her mother fell ill, some muggle disease called cancer and despite the breakthroughs in magically enhanced medicines…there was nothing that could be done. The children were pulled out of school the last few weeks of their mother’s life to stay by her side and watch over her in her last moments, spending sleepless nights situated next to her bed in St. Mungos until..she passed in her sleep. It was a tough situation to get through and Lenore made sure that she was there for her father and her siblings, doing her best to be the crying shoulder that everyone needed.
The house seemed quiet after that…their father taking the death of Roberta the hardest, he became engrossed in his work, staying at the office late and coming home in the early hours of the morning. It took another year for things to feel normal again, things picked back up again at home; they saw their dad more often, started doing things together again and all around the air of depression that had settled in over them seemed to have lifted.
