It had never been a hobby of Nona's to simply sit around in the Slytherin girls dormitory, doing absolutely nothing except watch her surroundings. She usually found way better things to do with her time. Trying to find a way to wander the corridors without worrying about being attacked by fellow Slytherins, or the Marauders, for example. Something in which she usually put all her energy in doing. Maybe that would explain why she hadn't been doing much lately, and not much for Nona, was as good as nothing at all. Her mother had warned her that she wanted better grades and less owls home saying she had dueled someone again. She let out a soft sigh before sitting up straight and trying to make up her mind on something to do. She couldn't lie around all day doing nothing, now could she?
The Slytherin stood up, and looking herself over in a quick second, decided that she looked decent enough to go out of the common room. Then again, she always found herself looking decent enough. She'd always had a skewed sense of self-observation. Her hair was a bit of a mess, but nothing that couldn't be misconstrued as a rebelious hairstyle, and her tie was loose. She wore no jumper, and refused to don a cloak. Many of the other Slytherin girls sneered at her attire in disgust as she strode past them. She headed out of the girls dormitory, and waltzed through the dungeons, hands stuffed in her pant pockets, and started going toward whatever way her feet were taking her. Anywhere was perfectly fine with her at the moment. As long as it wasn't the Slytherin Common Room.
Being so caught up in her thoughts, Nona was barely noticing where she was heading. She stopped walking, and looked around herself. At first, she had no idea where she was. It wasn't until she heard a slight ruffle of leaves that she concluded that she was in the courtyard. An idea struck her, and she began to stride toward one of the many carriages bound for Hogsmeade. She climbed in with a small trio of Hufflepuffs, smiling politely at them as they cowered away from her, and looked out the window, enjoying the scenery for the remainder of the trip.
She reached Hogsmead safely, wandering about the streets, searching for a place that caught her interest. Nona eventually spotted Honeyduke's, one of the only - and her favorite - sweet shops in the tiny village. She opened the door to the sweet aroma of the building. She hadn't been here in such a long while, and she was eager to buy herself a Chocolate Frog. Or one of those new, Long-Lasting Lollipops they were beginning to sell. She quickly decided on the Chocolate Frog, paying for it hurriedly and popping the poor chocolate into her waiting mouth.
Nona loitered there for a moment, taking in the scenery of Honeyduke's, wishing that she could live in a place like this. It was a childish dream, but hey, what teenage girl with a craving for chocolate doesn't dream about living in Honeyduke's? She needed a break anyway. After that quiz in Potions, and her previous lesson in Divination, as well as her numerous reports to Albus regarding He-Who-Must-Be-Hyphenated... She needed a break from school.. She was content with where she was. She only wished she'd have known that she wouldn't be there alone...

It was another Hogsmeade weekend and Eleanor didn’t know whether she should go or not. The last weekend she had gone she had certain things she wanted to get. Some things she brought and some they didn’t have. More specifically the book on the Dark Arts she wanted. Maybe if she went she could just grab a bottle of Firewhiskey and then be on her way back to the castle. Deciding that was the way to go she grabbed her leather jacket and wand from her bed and then her change purse from her bedside table.
The common room was empty and she figured everyone had already left to go to Hogsmeade, people liked to get there early and stay all day. Eleanor liked to do the same thing when she had a friend to spend the day with. Her friends probably already had plans with each other, but she knew if she saw them she could spend time with them. But she didn’t really want that. All she wanted at the moment was a bottle of Firewhiskey oh, and maybe a bag of Bertie Bots Every Flavor Beans to keep her entertained.
Eleanor was lucky that there was only one carriage left by time she got there. She hadn’t realized it was that late in the day considering she had gotten lost within choosing her outfit for the day. Even if she wasn’t sure whether or not she would go to Hogsmeade when the day had begun, she still took the liberty to look her best. Eleanor was all about presentation no matter if she was staying in the common room all day or out and about in the village. Her hair was down and in soft waves, as per usual, she was wearing a dress – which was no surprise no matter what the weather. Eleanor loved her dresses, and her leather jacket.
Before the carriage took off Eleanor was joined by three more students, all female and all giggling excitedly. Eleanor leaned back in her seat, figuring the girls were third years. It took a while before the carriage actually stopped at Hogsmeade and the blonde was thankful to be away from the giggling girls as she was getting annoyed by them. ‘Where to go first?’ Eleanor thought as she stepped out of the carriage and looked around. She could either go get her Every Flavor Beans at Honeydukes or get a bottle of Firewhiskey. She began to stroll down the street, looking at everyone as she walked passed. Eleanor waved to the people she knew but didn’t stop to chat. Her stroll ended when she stopped in front of Honeydukes and decided to stop in here first, why not? After all she was already standing in front of the shop.
Eleanor walked into the shop and the overwhelming smell of chocolate made her sick to her stomach. From an early age the blonde never liked chocolate. Her sister would always say she was weird because all girls liked chocolate. Eleanor thought that was a stupid stereotype then and still thought the same now. Oh look, she stopped at the display in front of her, new long-lasting lollipops. Eleanor grabbed a couple, even though this wasn’t the plan. She may not like chocolate but that didn’t mean she didn’t like any other type of sweet. She was human after all. Eleanor began browsing the shelves, looking for other sweets she may want to get. Her arms were filled with acid pops, ice mice, liquorice wands, droobles, among others. She didn’t even grab a bag of Bertie Bots yet. Just as she was continuing down the aisle she looked up and noticed a girl from school. Her name instantly came to her as they were in the same year but played on rival Quidditch teams. Eleanor made sure she knew everyone in the school who played Quidditch, after all she was Gryffindor’s Co-Captain. This girl played Seeker for Slytherin, even though Eleanor made sure to stay away from the Slytherins she still couldn’t help but to greet the girl. “Hi, Nona, right?” she asked her, hoping she hadn’t gotten her name wrong. why is everybody so serious * * SIX NINE FOUR;; acting so damn mysterious* * NONA;; got your shades on your eyes * * HI THERE!;; and your heels so high * * SHE'S ROCKING THIS!;; that you can't even have a good time * * YOU'RE MY MUSE<3;; forget about the price tag * * CREDITS TO PRICETAGS OF JESSIE J ;;

“Hi, Nona, right?” Nona turned at the sound of her name, her brows rising to her hairline at discovering who had addressed her. A Gryffindor? She glanced around herself, searching for some other girl that went by her name. It was a useless effort, as she was the only 'Nona' in Hogwarts, but she could not help but be surprised. Normally, Gryffindor's steered clear of Slytherins, unless they were in a less charitable mood and decided to throw a few hexes their way. Nona stared at the girl before her for a moment, unsure of how best to respond. "Er...hi, Meadowes," she replied.
She knew Meadowes, of course. Who didn't know her? She was Gryffindor's designated party girl, the one that everyone wanted to befriend. But why on earth would Meadowes attempt polite conversation with a Slytherin? Was it some sort of ulterior motif, a diversion for a prank? No, as much as she distrusted Gryffindors - in spite of her secret admiration of their morals - she didn't expect Meadowes to go that far. She hung out with Evans, the patron saint of the house of crimson and gold. Though she knew the girl to get along well enough with the Marauders - which of the Gryffinors, aside from Evans, didn't? - she wasn't so blinded by their influence as to help them bully her. Still...
Nona made to leave the conversation at that and high-tail it out of the sweet shop, but something stopped her. Her damnable curiosity. Hesitantly, she turned back to Meadowes and raised an inquiring brow. "You're not in on some 'let's get the Slytherthing' prank, are you?"
[[OOC: I'm so sorry for it being short. My brother is hounding me for the computer so that he can look up trucks =( ]]

Eleanor watched Nona’s face expressions carefully. She wondered what the girl was thinking considering Eleanor was a Gryffindor and she was a Slytherin. Most people knew the houses didn’t get along. It’d be a lie to say that Eleanor didn’t understand why or hated that they didn’t get along – but that was a lie. She understood that both houses were as different as fire and ice, Gryffindor being fire and Slytherin ice, of course. Eleanor didn’t hate the house rivalry because that’s just how things was, she just accepted it. It was there before she came to Hogwarts and it’ll be there after she graduated. Eleanor wasn’t the type to be outright mean to someone. She was only mean when provoked and disrespected, though she did get defensive at times.
Currently, she watched as Nona looked around. Eleanor bit her bottom lip and wondered if she was trying to see if she was talking to her. Nona wasn’t a very common name, at least Eleanor didn’t think so. She was just about to tell the Slytherin that she was talking to her when she finally responded to the blonde. Eleanor wasn’t one to call people by their last names, sometimes she did if she didn’t know their first. To be honest Eleanor couldn’t even remember Nona’s last name, she just knew her by her first. “Are you looking to buy a certain kind of sweet?” she asked the girl making conversation.
Eleanor truly wondered what was going through the Slytherin’s mind as she watched her. Maybe she was thinking about Eleanor’s reputation, she knew her name so she would no doubt know her by the rumors. Even though most of them wasn’t true Eleanor only defended herself rarely. The ones who truly knew her and loved her would know if they were false or not and if they had their doubts Eleanor would reassure them. Her friends were really important to her and she didn’t want them to think she was someone she wasn’t. Other people who she didn’t know she tried not to let it get to her. It did get to her, but she just had to wave it off. Eleanor knew she couldn’t just defend herself for most people wouldn’t believe her anyhow. She wasn’t going to waste neither her breath nor her time.
She stared blankly as Nona turned away from her, ready to leave the conversation it seemed. Eleanor wondered what made the girl want to leave. It could be a variety of things, one, Eleanor’s reputation, two, she’s a Gryffindor, three, she didn’t like her. It could be either one of those or even more reasons Eleanor didn’t know. What Eleanor did know that leaving a conversation without much of a goodbye was very rude. Surprisingly the girl turned back around and began speaking. Eleanor laughed, the Slytherin thought the Gryffindor girl was in on some prank? Oh, Merlin Eleanor couldn’t stop laughing. “Paranoid much?” she asked once her laughing ceased. It wasn’t in a mean tone, if anything her voice was very light and airy. “No, I’m not in on some prank. I just came to get some sweets.” She used her head to motion to all the candy that was in her hands. “Trust me, I have better things to do than to prank you or help prank you or whatever. Not that I don’t enjoy a good prank.” Eleanor told her. “This just isn’t one. Maybe next time!” She let that sit out there for a moment before playfully rolling her eyes. “That was a joke, by the way.” Eleanor didn’t know the Slytherins personality and she didn’t want to offend the girl in any way. why is everybody so serious * * SIX ONE FIVE;; acting so damn mysterious* * NONA;; got your shades on your eyes * * OH, THAT'S FINE!
