Al skeptically moved down the hallways after her friend, who was carrying a large fruitbasket. "Ave, are we sure they even want visitors? We don't even know their names!" She said, trying to keep up with Ave. She didn't know where the fire was, but Ave was determined to get to these two men for some odd reason. Maybe it was a school girl crush or something, it would be odd, but not impossible. She hadn't even seen the men, she'd been told they came around the time they lost Professor Sheridan, seemed like awful good timing to Al, but she was in position to judge.
Al was still learning the ins and outs of these things called heels. She had, until recently, had her own clothes, but now? Everything looked like the fancy stuff Ave wore. She was now dating a Marauder and appearances mattered. Ave had told her this. She supposed it did make sense, but that didn't mean she loved it. She hated the looks she got from some girls, but she also, deep down, probably liked the attention. She thought some of it was funny, she really did. She was starting to thrive on their jealousy, but at the same time, the rumors that came with it, weren't her favorite.
Her thoughts were broken when they hit the first floor of the school. She felt herself straightening her skirt out, and noticed she was becoming more like Ave everyday. She swallowed, and she looked to Ave to see what was going on now. "Shall we?" She said with a small smile. Smiles were harder to find of late.
Tell him about it, he was stuck back in time, and he wasn't allowed to be himself. He was as free as a bird, but stuck in the role of a teacher, not knowing anything about anything. He didn't know what was going to happen now, he couldn't tell his friends, alive or dead, who he was, and he couldn't even tell himself. He was miserable. He didn't get it. He really didn't. "Remus! I can't do this, I can't. I'm going to...hop out a window and run. I don't know what I'm going to do, but it will be drastic."
Sirius grumbled to his other half. He sat on the front of a table, and he began to, for lack of a better word, sulk. His attention was shifted to the door as it opened. In the doorway? Ave and who appeared to be that little Hufflepuff Remus had dated for so long. He couldn't place her name now, but he was sort of starting to wonder why he hadn't noticed her, if she was dressed like that. He smiled lightly, beckoning them in. Eavan bounced excitedly, making sure that both she and Al looked presentable enough to pay their new professors a little visit. Since the attack the school had taken on a few new students and Professors, transfers she was told, and she was quite curious about this new additions to Hogwarts. She hadn’t had DADA yet, since classes were still canceled for the next few days to let the new people settle in and to let the old get used to the fact that they were down a few students and their Muggle Studies professor was now a ghost…
Their new DADA professors were said to be two men [“How weird that we have two professors rather than one…”] and Ave was hoping that they were attractive. Not that she would ever get involved with an man that much older than her but she would prefer to have attractive men to stare at in class because it gave her incentive to actually pay attention and now slack off. “Don’t worry about it, they’re new I bet they’re lonely.” She reassured her best friend, before casting the Hufflepuff an appreciative look. Earlier she had taken all of Al’s clothes from her trunk and replaced them with some of her own outfits in order to get Al to start dressing more like a teenage girl and less like a frumpy old Badger. She had to admit that she was pleased with herself.
She wasn’t as dressed up as she had made Al, however she felt the need to wear what she was wearing—it was a subtle way of telling the Professors that she wasn’t going to be as easy to deal with as some of the other students. Her lips quirked into a smirk as she pushed past Al and stepped into the room where the two Professors were, “Good afternoon Professors!” The click-clacking of her heels announced their arrival way before her voice had. “Just thought we’d stop by and welcome the two of you to Hogwarts and all that. I’m Eavan Tringham and this is my best mate Al Landor—we had gotten you a fruit basket but Sirius, another of your students, ate it so you can blame him that.”
Remus glanced towards Sirius, worried that he’d blow their cover since he was least likely, out of the two of them, to be able to keep their cover. He narrowed his eyes warningly at his best mate before turning to the two girls, mentally cursing his and Padfoot’s horrible luck. Of course Ave and Al would come and stop by, out of all of the students here it had to be those two…
“Well, that was rather thoughtful of you two. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Professor—” He paused, forgetting what his alias had been, “—Neil Caffrey.” It had been the first name that he could think of, he remembered reading something in the muggle post about a conman by the name of Neil Caffrey and it was the first name that had popped into his head.

Sirius didn't really know what to do, he was stuck somewhere weird, that he'd been before, but now? He wasn't supposed to be here, he wasn't supposed to be free, he didn't know what to do with himself. He still looked over his shoulder every time he walked out of the room. He didn't like to have doors open, and he didn't like to have people behind him. He wasn't openly friendly to most people, due to his paranoia, but he was slowly starting to understand that he, was in fact, a free man.
And, then there were the kids from this time. He wasn't to tell them who he was, but they were there. HE was there! It was so hard for him to not say something! He knew them, he knew them, missed them and would have done anything to tell them what they couldn't do, who they wouldn't be able to be. He was constantly plagued with these thoughts, and he would eventually drive himself insane, he was sure of it, but he had to do something. He couldn't just not do something.
And, then the door was open, and he spoke. Remus was near by, and he looked at the girls. Ave. Ave. Ave was right there. She was as beautiful as he remembered, and she was right there. She wasn't 6 feet under, she wasn't away from him yet. He then heard his name come from her mouth, and before he could think, he spoke, "I did not!"
He said, looking startled as he did. Al furrowed her brow as she looked at the man who said he didn't do something. She then looked up at the larger man, Neil something. She smiled, and she felt herself think something was familiar about the man. She felt her hands grab the hem of her skirt, and she looked at him with a sideways glance, "Pleasure to meet you, Professor Caffrey." She chewed her lip and looked down at her feet, she couldn't really tell what her problem was, but she was being shier then she normally was. Sirius couldn't keep his eyes off Ave. "I uh, that's okay. No fruit needed anyhow, we have food and things, thank you though! I'm....Frank Abagnale." [/blockquote][/blockquote] - tag : old Remus && Ave! - notes : Voldemort is going down! - words : 602 ! - music : The Remus Lupins - outfit : Sirius && Al - credit : template brought to you by The_Actress. lyrics from RIVER by LIGHTS!

As soon as the door had opened Remus had been unable to take his eyes off of the two girls that had entered, more specifically the brunette who was awkwardly standing beside her best friend and fidgeting with her clothing. A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips, the two were the same as always—Eavan must have dressed Al again, judging from the uncomfortable look on the latter’s face and the surprisingly feminine clothing that she was currently wearing.
He felt awkward, his cheeks burning a light shade of pink when he noticed her eyeing him—he hadn’t spoken the Al in years and now here he was confronted by her younger counterpart. He didn’t know what to say so the former Gryffindor merely averted his gaze and began to shuffle around his desk, picking up loose papers and stacking them in piles. And then his best mate spoke, Remus’ brows furrowed and he picked up a paper weight off of his and Sirius’ shared desk and discreetly hurled it at the back of the animagi’s head. “Woops, sorry mate. Sleight of hand, you understand, yeah?” His dull eyes narrowed warningly at the man before him, wordlessly telling him to watch his mouth more carefully. He nodded his head in acknowledgment to Al, mentally wishing for the two girls to turn around and leave—maybe even drop DADA as a class? Though he knew that wasn’t going to happen any time soon. Just the thought of being back at school with their dead schoolmates was enough to make him feel incredibly uncomfortable…he didn’t want to be here, he wanted to be back home, despite the fact that his life in his own time wasn’t all that great. But it was better than this, than having to be reminded of everything he and Sirius had lost all those years ago…
Ave scrunched up her face in contemplation and confusion, quirking a brow at the older man before her, “Excuse me…? You didn’t what?” These Professors seemed rather bizarre and she momentarily wondered what Dumbledore had seen in them when he hired them. Though, she had to admit that they were both attractive despite the certain hobo-like quality that the both of them seemed to have. And there was something else…something more familiar about them. Eavan subconsciously took a step closer to Professor Abagnale, catching a glimpse of familiar silver irises. Funny, she could have sworn that she’d seen those eyes before…
Shrugging, she muttered, “Well, I suppose that it was the thought that counts, right? So, no offense, but isn’t it a little strange that you’re both the DADA professors? Isn’t it usually a one-man job…?”

Sirius wasn't holding out as well as Remus was apparently. Though, Remus wasn't saying anything now. He held his head as something was chucked at him, and he winced. He made a small dissatisfied noise, and he looked at Remus, waved his wand, and gave the younger man a large wedgie. "Do not chuck things at me, Moony! It's rude." He then made another rather startled face, and he waved his wand at Remus again, attempting to silence him while he spoke, he didn't want to be interrupted. He looked back to the girls, and he waved the door locked.
Al wanted to run, this was weird, but she couldn't move. She was stuck in place, and she scuffed her shoe on the floor. She looked at them, and she cocked her head to the side, and she smiled at how they acted. It reminded her of Remus and his friends.
Then, Sirius broke what Dumbledore told him to do. Dumbledore should have figured he was going to. "Ave, it's me, Sirius. I can prove it! Do not look at me like I'm nuts! My name is Sirius Orion Black III, I gave you that necklace last year, and you are an only child. You're cousin hates me, and I don't care much for him either. I'm a beater, and you like it when I'm rude to people on your behalf. I...sound like a bloody wanker, I do." He dropped his head to his chest, and he looked at his shoes. He sighed, and he didn't know what else he could do.
Al was amazed. She tilted her head to the side, and she sort of figured out that this made sense. She smiled, looking towards the other man. "Remus?" She asked, her voice mildly intrigued. She chewed her lip, and she looked at Ave. "This is nuts!" She said excitedly, "They both are still the same, and...not bad looking, regardless of the fact they are older!" She smiled back towards them, and she bounced on the balls of her feet. "Where are we now?" She said, looking back and forth between the two men.

Remus squealed like a little girl who just found out that her older brother had played ‘barbershop’ with her favorite doll, feeling his underwear fly up in an uncomfortable way, his feet lifting off of the ground an inch or so from the strength of the spell that Sirius had used. The former Gryffindor glared, “You’re so childish.” His eyes narrowed, an action that he found himself doing a lot in the presence of Sirius as of late and he opened his mouth one more time, noticing the particular glint in his best mate’s eyes, “You better not say what I think you’re about to say or I swear to God I will—
” He pointed his wand at his best mate threateningly, dropping it in defeat when he was cut off from speaking by Sirius blurting out their secret. He groaned in irritation, running a hand through his thin and graying hair and ruffling his bangs. “ Oh God, Padfoot what have you done? Dumbledore’s going to be furious with us for ruining everything…” Remus tried to speak but found that no sound came out so he mouthed the words, waving his hands around in emphasis. He began to pace the room, muttering various panicky phrases to himself. He was worried that Dumbledore was going to be very displeased with them because Sirius had let the proverbial cat out of the bag. The blond took a step back from the man before her, her eyes narrowing a little and her nose scrunching up in confusion, a habit of her’s that she had never quite grown out of. “ It was nice meeting you and all but you’re clearly insane so I think Al and I will be going now…” She backed up and slowly groped the wall behind her for the door only to discover that he had locked it while she had been distracted by his devilish good looks. Well this wasn’t looking too good, now was it? Their new Professors were mental and now she and Al were both locked in the room with them…and dressed rather provocatively. For a moment or two she stared awe-struck at ‘Sirius’, listening to him ramble. Her brows furrowed, he had to have been making it up…right? “ I’ll admit that you and Sirius do share some physical similarities…” Her voice trailed off, “ But…that’s impossible. Sirius is here and he’s not old, you can’t be Sirius.” She stood tall, determined despite the fact that Sirius was a lot taller than she was. Eavan clearly didn’t share Al’s excitement towards the knowledge that they had just been presented with, in fact, she was a little freaked out by this. It just didn’t seem very plausible or possible for something like this to happen. “ Alright. If you’re Sirius and you’re Remus then where’s Al and I? I’m assuming our older counterparts are running around the castle as well then?” She was still skeptical, but she decided to play along for now. Remus, meanwhile, was still panicking, albeit silently, since he was still unable to speak due to Sirius’ clever little spell. .[/blockquote][/blockquote] words--- 515 tags--- Al and OLD!Padfoot notes--- Ave's Outfit && Rem's Outfit lyrics--- Lady Gaga's The Edge of Glory credit--- Credit to Dollie [/blockquote]

She watched the older men, and she could say she was thoroughly amused. She wondered if they would be like this in class, she hoped so. She'd always liked DADA but it would be even more fun now. She giggled lightly as one squealed, and something in her clicked, like she knew that sound. She knew that voice, and then there was that nickname. Moony. She knew that name. And, there it was. They were Sirius and Remus?
Call her naive, but the idea of this being the same men she hoped they said they were made her thrilled. She saw Ave trying to escape, and she'd thought about it at first but she didn't like the idea of knowing her adult self, or the adults of people around her, but then, her thoughts started to turn. She could have learned what would become of herself after school, and if Remus was here, did that mean she was? Were they still together? Friends, or anything of the like?
She looked at the man as he spoke, and she listened intently. She looked at Ave as she called them insane, and she smiled lightly. "I think we should hear them out Ave. Aging potions happen, maybe this is a prank, if we run, we'd play right into it. I haven't seen Remus today, until now. They certainly act like them, don't you agree?" She said with a smile, looking back and forth between her friend and the others.
He understood her skepticism, he did. He wanted to get closer to her, but he can't. He clinched his fist, and he kicked the table close to him. He wasn't used to being second guessed, he got frustrated. "I don't know how it happened, I was just at home, being useless with Remus; no offense, Mate; and then? I just end up here. It's not 1976 anymore, it's bloody 1995, and I'm stuck in a past I don't wish to relive. If there were something I could do about it, I assure you, I would!" He snarled, looking at her, his eyes livid.
And, she was asking where they were. That was the question he didn't want. He dropped his head to the floor. "Don't ask me that. Though I can tell you Landor's down in the Hospital Wing messing with medical healer stuff now." He said offhandedly. He kept his face low, and he waved his wand towards Remus, reversing his hex. "You answer the other question."

She paused, grey eyes darting back and forth between her best friend and the two men standing before them, her lips tipping into a light frown. She hadn’t even thought of the possibility that this could be some prank by the Marauders, it really did seem like something they’d pull but…she wasn’t used to being on the receiving end of one of their pranks so the thought had never really crossed her mind because she was so used to laughing at their hijinks and the jokes that they played on other people.
“This better not be a bloody prank or I swear to God I’m going to hex your balls right off!” She pointed an accusing finger at where Sirius’ manhood would be, a wild look in her eyes. Eavan didn’t like being made a fool of and she certainly didn’t like the thought of her friends playing a silly joke on her. But she couldn’t help but to agree that…these two men really did act a lot like the Sirius and Remus that she had grown to know and love—their constant bickering, their nicknames, even their posture…!
The blond bit her lip, deciding to lighten up on the two a tad after seeing the look in “Sirius’” eye, he seemed incredibly frustrated and she supposed that she’d feel the same way if she was trying to convince someone something and they weren’t buying it. “…okay, so you’re from 1995 then? If that’s the case then…” She narrowed her eyes, “why’re you skirting around the question? One of you…tell me where future me is—and why isn’t James and Peter helping you teach this class too? I’d have figured that you lot would still be as close as ever, yeah?” Ave was afraid to ask whether anything had ever become of her and Sirius, though judging by the guilty aura he gave off she had to guess that they hadn’t ended on good terms…
Remus opened his mouth, making a few testing noises at first as if to check whether or not he really did have his voice back. He did. Though…the question Sirius had redirected to him really wasn’t something that he wanted to answer, it was something that neither of them would want to answer but knowing the young Ravenclaw she’d persist until it was answered. He just didn’t have the heart to be the one to tell her that she had died only 2 years after she graduated from Hogwarts…
“Mate, I think you’re more suited to answer that particular question. You were closer to her, after all.
” He glanced away from the small group. “ I don’t care who tells me—but someone better fucking do it. I wanna know what’s going on!” Eavan knew that she probably sounded like a whiney teenager, demanding answers to questions that were better left unasked, but she couldn’t help it… .[/blockquote][/blockquote] words--- 481 tags--- Al and OLD!Padfoot notes--- Ave's Outfit && Rem's Outfit lyrics--- Lady Gaga's The Edge of Glory credit--- Credit to Dollie [/blockquote]

Al wasn't sure how she would feel to be on the end of a prank. There wasn't a Potter boy present, and that was usually a sign of a prank she would think. The better the prank, the larger the group she would wager. Maybe he was hiding somewhere to watch and cackle. That idea made her uncomfortable, but then again, Remus looked as uncomfortable as she did. Maybe this wasn't a prank. She wanted to think she was immune from pranks by being Rem's girlfriend, but maybe this wasn't the case.
Al snorted at Ave's threat. She didn't care for being pranked either, but she'd hex someone's balls off. She was used to being made a fool of, though recently, she couldn't say it had happened to her. As it turned out, once you fall in with the right crowd, people were scared to talk about you. This was refreshing, the Hufflepuff wasn't used to that. She had been called names, shoved and laughed at for being a geek. She had her books knocked from her hands, and other things. And, gradually, all of this stopped as she started to get on with the Lupin boy. It was one of the many perks of having friends, and apparently having "the right friends".
And, that was all that did it. Sirius was off the desk again, and he kicked the desk again. He clenched and unclenched his fist time and time again. His breathing sped up and his eyes must have appeared to almost be going out of his skull. "Never mention that name in my presence!"
He snapped, "I'll...kill him! If I ever see that worthless rat again, I'll kill him! You want to know the truth, Ave? Really? I don't think you do, I really don't!" His anger startled the Hufflepuff. She could tell the anger was addressed towards Ave for some reason. She never knew the Black boy enough to know if he had a temper or not. ANyone could have a temper, she supposed. She subtly felt herself scooting away from the group, and closer to the taller man standing a bit away from them. He was calmer then his companion. He was more like the Remus she knew, and it was comforting to say the least. She wanted to speak, but she was scared to, her voice stuck in her throat. Sirius watched the other move, and he looked as Remus told her to talk to Ave himself. He squared his jaw, and he turned his back on the group. He moved towards stairs as though he were going back into his and Remus' shared office, but as he got to the stairs, he spoke, and he "We all graduated from school all hunky dory and happy. So? Naturally we thought everything was great. Remus had the Puff, I had you, James had Lily and then there was Peter. We were all happy, but really, were we? One day, you and the Puff girl and probably Evans, I don't even remember, went out for the night and you got jumped by your lovely family, and you came back dead. So, that wedged a rift between Rem and his girl, and I've never seen her again till this time recently, and after that; James and his new wife have to go hide somewhere. Then, Peter was trusted with their secret, by me. I thought I would be too obvious. So, all seemed well, but Peter wasn't who I thought, and he gave away their location. They ended up dead, along with some muggles and such. I was framed and I went to prison for 13 fucking years, and then? I got out, found my old friend and my godson I never knew." He turned, and he went back towards the girls. "So, that is where you are, James is and where my sanity went. Any other questions, Bird?" His eyes were defeated, and broken; so unlike the fire in his voice, his face held lines of regret and his eyes matched the face. Eavan jumped, startled by Sirius’ sudden change in disposition—he’d become more angry, furious even, all at the mention of Pettigrew’s name. She bit her trembling lip, she wasn’t accustomed to being yelled at—well, by Professors for not doing her work or by Slytherins who just felt the need to berate her, yes, but not by someone that she… She shook her head to clear the thoughts, this couldn’t be Sirius and Remus! It just didn’t make sense! The young Ravenclaw was beginning to fear for her life, the livid look in the older man’s eyes truly frightened her, he certainly did look like he was capable of killing and it scared her to think that she and Al were locked in a room with him…
Remus took a step forward, placing a hand on his best mate’s shoulder, “Mate, calm down. She’s not the one you’re angry at so try to direct your anger and frustration elsewhere, yeah?
” He was afraid that Sirius would scare away the girls, and while he would have been happy to keep their involvement in this mess at a bare minimum he knew that that wasn’t going to happen—they were meddlesome and were friends with the Marauders, of course they were going to pursue their curiosity and search for answers. She stood there in awe and fear as Sirius angrily ranted to her about the tragedies that befell their group after graduation and honestly? If he was telling the truth, and the look in his eyes told her that he was, then it made her not want to graduate—what would the point be if she was going to die so shortly after anyway? Her bottom lip trembled and she took a step back, leaning up against the doorframe and using it for support to keep her standing upright. “ What’s the point then…?” Ave mumbled to herself, eyes staring, wide, at the floor. What was the point in living if she didn’t have a future to look forward to? The former Gryffindor felt his lips pull into a frown and he desperately wished that the girls hadn’t found him and Sirius today—they should have been spared the gruesome details of what the future held for them… “ No…I…I think you answered everything, thanks…” She muttered quietly, silently debating with herself the best way to go about living when you knew that your untimely death was inevitable—and was only a few short years away. Biting her lip, she glanced up, “ So up until my…death…we had been together?” A small, sad sigh escaped through her parted lips, “ And I died fighting, right? That’s…at least I wasn’t useless, I guess…” .[/blockquote][/blockquote] words--- 446 tags--- Al and OLD!Padfoot notes--- Ave's Outfit && Rem's Outfit lyrics--- Lady Gaga's The Edge of Glory credit--- Credit to Dollie [/blockquote]
