well since jade can't get online at the moment, she asked me to post this for her.
as some of you may know. there was a hurricane watch for the US. today, it hit the eastern part (where jade and i both live) and it was pretty bad. over in her town, the damage is pretty extensive, the town is flooded, and everything is out there. i.e. internet, electricity, blah blah blah. so. she just wants me to let you all know that she's unsure as to when she'll be back online with us. so we'll just have to make do without her and hope that they get the city cleaned up and everything fixed.

I have internet for now.
But they're evacuating the entire city [except for me because luckily I live up on a hill]
As I type I can hear the cops outside on the mega-phones telling everyone that they have to leave their homes.
I'm pretty sure my town got hit the hardest by this storm [even though the actual hurricane didn't come here.] But it's pretty insane right now, trees down everywhere, EVERYTHING is flooded, several bridges have collapsed, the dam [that holds millions and ,millions of gallons of water] is threatening to rupture [which is also partly the reason everyone's evacuating] and all of the locks [you know, in the river] are destroyed.
So...I'll try my best to be on as much as I can but at the moment nothing's for certain [internet-wise] so...yeah lol [/size] |

Wow, that sounds pretty intense.  Holy hell... I wonder what it's going to be like by the time it comes to me--I'm in Ohio. Thankfully far enough into the coast that I should be able to avoid things happening like evacuations and stuff. |

Well, I'm nowhere NEAR the coast [the closest beach to us is in New Hampshire and it's about 4 hours away]
So...it really doesn't matter if you're near the coast or not =/ [/size] |

Oh wow. Well, I'm a couple more states in, so hopefully it'll simmer down by now. I should probably find a way to watch the news, though. |
