SOFT KISS AND WINE WHAT A PRETTY FRIEND OF MINE ( we're finally intertwined ) Siriussighed, pulling his legs up off the floor, struggling into his pants. He didn't need to be wearing female clothes when he was having to go out in the snow. He had to be anal about his triweekly practices, didn't he? He chose to do it on certain days, and due to the weather, he'd been putting it off. He sighed, and he pulled a shirt on, and he tossed a jacket over the top of it. He didn't know what had gotten into him, but he didn't care, he had a game to go play, sort of. Well, he had a few balls to smack around at least, he loved to smack balls, and he was good at it.
He trodded out of the castle, and he turned lightly, thinking he heard something behind him, whacking himself in the face with his broom. He snarled at it, and he grumbled, stomping out into the snow. He rubbed his nose, and he blew his hair out of his face. He was starting to second guess this decision, but he didn't want to stop now. As he pushed the doors that officially led outside, he pulled his jacket closer, and he pulled his head low, tucking his head into his chest.
He missed his Quidditch robes as he started to make his way down to the pitch. He moved into the lower parts of the pitch, where the teams would have waited in the wings, and he lifted the lid of the box. He grabbed a beater's bat, not his beater's bat, but he would use this one for now. He looked it over, and he could see marks in it and he smiled lightly. He liked to look at things like this, they were so worn, it made him wonder how old the bat was. He lowered his broom, propping it against the wall, and he gently swung the bat, smiling. He reclined his head to look up a bit, and he could look out the doors, and he could see snow gently falling over the pitch. He hadn't made any effort to go out into the weather, he was rather content just watching for the time being, but really, he could just tell people he flew around and got sweaty, then showered. He was soggy after all; that was, unless someone caught him, but he didn't really think anyone else would have any reason to be out in this. What sane person would care for weather like this?

PAY SOME ATTENTION TO ME ALL I WANT IS JUST YOU AND ME ALWAYS ( Give me affection I need your perfection Cause you feel so good You make me stutter, stutter ) Katesat with one leg crossed over the other in the Gryffindor Common room. She'd been there for almost an hour working on homework. Or, as was more correct, trying to work on homework. A studious Lion, Kate never had trouble concentrating, in fact, she loved to sit around and read text and take notes. It was her secret guilty pleasure. But, for the first time she just couldn't get through the first page of her Potions reading. She must have re-read the introduction to sleeping droughts and poisons a hundred times but, still hadn't retained a single word of it.
Her quill which she had dipped into her ink jar almost a half hour ago was still hovering over the page. There were small black drops of ink that had fallen from the tip but, even those had dried some time ago. She sighed, her mind wondering to things outside the realm of academia. Things like, the way he smelled, how his gorgeous hair framed his face, and his devil-may-care sense of style. She wondered why she hadn't noticed it all before. She'd been here long enough, and many other girls from her time had taken a liking to him.
A sudden wave a jealously overtook her. Other women, she thought. There was a thud behind her that snapped her back to reality; someone was coming down the stairs. Her head tilted slowly and she caught sight of him. Sirius Black, with his shaggy brown hair, devilish smile, and disheveled attire had to be the most attractive person Kate had ever laid eyes on. She lowered her head, watching him cross the common room without even a glance in her direction. She wondered where he was off to and in a moment of rampant curiosity (and perhaps just a hint of love) she grabbed her jacket off the chair and followed him.
God he looked so good from behind. She could scarcely take her eyes off of him, although occasionally she had to in order not to be seen. There was one moment as they reached the entrance that she stumbled because she was too busy looking at the way his hair bounced gracefully as he walked. Quickly she darted around the corner so that she wouldn't be seen. Sirius didn't seem to notice and continued on his way outside.
It was snowing, and keeping a safe distance behind, Kate tucked her arms close to her chest and bundled her scarf across her mouth. It looked as if her beloved was en route to the Quidditch pitch. This was perfect. He'd fly around a bit and then she'd swoop in and strike up a conversation... or something to that effect. The truth was, Kate had no idea what to do. It was amazing she'd gotten this far. She wasn't exactly great at expressing feelings. The old her would have just stayed in the Common Room and let him cheat off of her during Charms or something. She'd never actually try to get his attention. But, something fueled her, encouraged her to go forth, and she wasn't sure she liked it.
He paused at the pitch, gazing up at the falling snow. It was beautiful. Kate took a deep breath, her throat burned from the cold. He remained stoic for a few moments. Kate desperately wondered what he was thinking. Suddenly she began to move forward, her boots crunching in the thick snow. "Hey there stranger." she uttered before she had a chance to stop herself. Her voice was soft and calm, not at all a reflection of how she felt inside. words; 640 tagged; Sirius music; Stutter by Maroon 5 outfit; www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=36680714notes;rawr. credit; template by You scared?!?! @ caution 2.0 Lyrics by Maroon 5 - Stutter[/center]

SOFT KISS AND WINE WHAT A PRETTY FRIEND OF MINE ( we're finally intertwined ) Siriushad given no thought to this plan he had hatched in his head one day. He simply figured out how to make the love potion and he got to it. He never cared if he messed with people's feelings or not. He just did what he thought would be funny, so he did it. And, thus far, this had been one of his better ideas. He never stopped to think the effects it could have on people, he didn't really maintaine relationships, so he guessed that was a good reason as to why he could have cared less. Hell, the girl he did care about was crazy about another girl, and he still thought it was hilarious.
So, this time, the joke was potentially on him. Know that feeling where it seemed like people were following you? He had that feeling now. Now, just because of that, it didn't mean he was being followed. He could have just been being paranoid. He didn't mind really, he knew he had admirers. It was just one of those things, he guessed.
Though, recently, he felt like something was a little different. Maybe his plan had backfired and he had an obsessor. Would this mean he could get an even easier lay out of it!? He didn't mind that idea, but really he wasn't in the mood to be followed at a distance. If someone wanted a go at him, they would have to speak up. He didn't chase shy girls, that act got old with him quick. If you were playing shy with him, you obviously didn't think you were up to his standards, and he didn't have time to play therapist with you.
So, now? He was wandering out in the cold, with a weird feeling. He didn't know if it was just teh fact he'd been alone too long. He was a social "butterfly" after all. Why did it have to be butterfly? He didn't really care for butterflies, it's not so much that mostly women thought of them as lovely, or nerds with pins to collect things, but he just didn't like their legs. Freakish little legs the buggers had. He didn't like them.
His thoughts about insects were shattered when someone behind him spoke. He didn't know the voice off the top of his head, but when he turned to look, he knew the girl. She was one of the new kids. Could she have been the one he thought was following him? He smiled, his genuine Black charm coming on strong. "Well, this is a pleasant surprise." He said with a smile.
He lulled his head back to glance at the snow for a second, looking back at her. "Come out here to play some Quidditch," he paused, dropping his head lower to the side for effect, "Or am I just too irresistible?" He teased with a wrinkle of his nose.

PAY SOME ATTENTION TO ME ALL I WANT IS JUST YOU AND ME ALWAYS ( Give me affection I need your perfection Cause you feel so good You make me stutter, stutter ) He was such a tease. But, really, did she expect anything different? She'd seen the way he treated all the girls. Always the lover never the boyfriend. She knew him as a man, the same wild, free-spirited soul. Only, with age he'd gained a bit of reservation, perhaps that was just from twelve years in Azkaban. But, in truth, rationale had nothing to do with how Kate felt at this moment. She couldn't describe it but, she just felt drawn to him. Every fiber of her being was yelling to be close to him.
The tilt of his head and the way his nose wrinkled as he spoke made her knees feel weak. Her breath was stuck in her throat as she sifted through the possible responses to his query. He was joking about finding him irresistible, but that's how she felt. It was probably best not to be completely forward. But, being too reserved wouldn't be good either. Middle ground. She lifted her eyes to meet his, lightly biting on her lip as she contemplated what to say.
The falling snow was absolutely stunning. Hogwarts always looked nice but, winter days like this gave it such pure beauty. The snow reminded her of home. Of her mom and dad, well, mostly her dad. Mother didn't like the snow, it was messy and unpredictable. Sadly, Kate was always reminded of Dolores Umbridge when she thought of her mother. They shared far too many similarities than she cared to mention. Her father on the other hand was the fun loving sort. He was always up for an adventure. He used to take them sledding and snowboarding during the Winter Holidays. It was strange knowing that that wasn't going to happen this year. Why? Because mom and dad were nineteen and hadn't met yet.
Kate rubbed her hands together, fingerless gloves may have been cool and fashionable and all they, but they weren't particularly warm. "I was here for Quidditch but, now that you mention it..." she smiled coyly. A moment later she laughed, her eyes twinkling. "What are you doing all the way out here? You always lurk about this early in the morning trying to lure young women with your, irresistable charms?"
