never knew what love was

U N T I L Y O U C A M E A R O U N D
Cissy wasn't the most loved girl in school, but she was popular and she was envied by many. Coming from a wealthy family had it's perks, but it also had it's downfalls. Cissy had everything a young girl could want in life including brand name clothing, new robes every year, brand new books, a rather expensive wand, a rather expensive pet, top of the line owl, a state of the art broom (despite whether she played quidditch or not) and much much more. Money didn't buy happiness though, and she knew this because most of her days were spent in a rather confused and depressed day. She did well to cover it up with a smile though. After all, her feelings, emotions, beliefs, and principles had all been laid out for her. She was afraid, every day, to question anything at all. She was afraid of her family abandoning her and her school mates turning their backs on her. She played the good little servant instead, a slave to the Black family's lifestyle in order to remain free. Or, as free as one could get with such tight binds and restraints.
The Forbidden forest was, well, forbidden. It didn't stop Cissy from exploring every now and then, however. She'd been so restricted on how her lifestyle had already been panned out, that breaking any other rule or law seemed minor. The forbidden forest was an adrenaline rush where the turn of every corner was a thrill. Sure, there were some creatures that lurked in this forest that should have been very much feared, but Cissy wasn't exactly trembling in her boots, yet.
The air was cool and crisp and Cissy marched on quite bravely, the sound of crunching leaves beneath her feet only added to nature's musical symphony, and orchestra made up of wind, chirping birds and other sounds of the forest. It was soothing, a relaxing oasis for the young blonde, an escape from the pressures of daily life and the peers that provided those pressures. Cissy needed that, an escape every now and then, but it became clear to her, sooner rather than later, that she wasn't alone.
The youngest of the Black clan walked at a steady pace, ignoring whatever or whoever it was that was following her. She assumed it to be a creature at first, something that would simply mind it's own business if she did. She wasn't afraid until the sounds of crunching leaves that matched her own strides grew closer, and it was then that she began to quicken her pace, a pinch of fear surging throughout her veins.
Cissy kept walking until the strides grew even closer, not even nature's symphony calming her at this point, and when her heart rate reached a speed she couldn't quite handle any longer, Cissy turned around rather terrified and angry at the same time, finding herself face to face with a fellow classmate of hers. He was blond, with a little more bleached of a color than her own luscious locks and he was rather smug looking, as if he had a bad smell under his nose. She knew him well because of his constant bickering. He felt the need to torture every student in Hogwarts that wasn't pure blood. She wasn't exactly disagreeing with him. She'd been raised on the importance of blood purity, but she remained more quiet about her disgust for anyone else to herself.
"Are you following me?" Her voice sounded angered, but to be perfectly honest, she wasn't all that surprised. Lucius Malfoy had been following her around for a small while now. She couldn't quite complain, he was handsome, and her family would approve. The problem? She wasn't quite sure she was ready for anything he seemed to be pursuing. She was having way too much fun just being a kid and mingling. He wanted a date, but it always started with one, and then things got..final..way too fast..without either party knowing exactly what was going on, and before you knew it, you were walking down the aisle in a white dress. Cissy was only fifteen, and she just wasn't ready for that kind of a commitment...was she? "Don't you have anything better to do than to follow me around? Torture a poor soul or something? It's funny because there are much prettier Slytherins than me and you waste your time following me around like a lost puppy dog. What's your game?" She lied. Of course she was the prettiest Slytherin in Hogwarts at the moment. She knew it, but it didn't mean she didn't enjoy bickering with him more, accusing him of things he wasn't really doing. She was having fun and that's all that counted, right?
