It was clear that Ginny was changing, growing up.Her mother had even tried having the talk with her, but to be perfectly honest, Ginny din't want any part of this. She wanted to discover things for herself, make her own mistakes and find herself without some one breathing down her neck every two seconds. No wonder the girl seemed so awkwardly stable, every two seconds some one else was breathing down her neck inquiring about her feelings for Harry, which, she hadn't admitted completely yet, or asking her about her wardrobe. She didn't know who she was, and so to explain it to some one with confidence was just madness.
Ginny yawned. Afternoon classes had drained her, but she had something to look forward to, a nice lunch with her brothers, including those who's left the area in search of a future and steady situations, jobs with promising futures and love. Ginny loved her brothers dearly. In fact, she couldn't say she loved one more than the others, although, it was true that she'd always been closer to Ron because of their age difference, there wasn't much of one. Despite that though, Ginny loved them all.
Pulling her hair back into a rather messy bun, Ginny looked around her bedroom at Hogwarts. It wasn't anything new, she'd been here for four years. it had become a home way from home. It had become a sanctuary and as old as it all was, it always, somehow, seemed brand new. She didn't have time to savor the magic of it all at that moment, though, and so with one swift motion, Ginny lifted herself from the bed and skipped over to her wardrobe, removing her robes and uniform on the way. It seemed bare in the common room after classes. Everyone was already out and about enjoying their evenings before curfew shadowed the castle and a new day with the same old routine brightened everyone's day.
Ginny pondered for a moment, millions of thoughts racing through her young mind, confusing her and leaving her in a gentle, fragile and weakened state. The one thought that didn't run through her mind as she dressed herself and straightened her hair, though, was what her brothers would think of her new wardrobe. She'd done well to hide it so far, sneak around the corridors and her home with ease, but with her currently distracted state of mind, Ginny hadn't even stopped to think about what she'd put on, that silly little fourteen year old, and she raced off to the common room to use the fireplace as a floo network to get to the leaky cauldron where her brothers had all agreed to meet.
Once there, Ginny looked around, not expecting anyone to be there yet, and praising her lucky stars for it when she looked down and finally realized what she was wearing. If she just quickly snuck to a table, and sat just the right way, perhaps her brothers wouldn't notice her low cut top, and her low rise jeans with her rather risque high heeled shoes, or the make up she was wearing. She was wrong though, and she spotted a red head not too far away from her.
Ginny sighed, taking a deep breath and trying desperately not to click too loudly as she walked toward the table that all too familiar red head was sitting at. "Hello" Her voice was quiet and she nervously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, trying quickly to sit before he had a chance to say anything. She wouldn't be too lucky though, they were all her older brothers, and like most older brothers, muggle and wizard alike, they were protective of her. She remained quiet though, looking down at the wood of the table. Perhaps if she stayed quiet, somehow, this wardrobe disaster of a situation would disappear. Perhaps there would be something more interesting in the Weasley news to discuss or notice other than her wardrobe, or the ever so popular crush on Harry talk.
