(I'm not a princess)(This ain't a fairytale)
Al sighed, and she didn't really know what to do with herself. Her house was big, and quiet. The fact her father was dead really hadn't hit her yet, and she didn't really know what was happening. She did, but she didn't. The letter telling her the Ministry was sorry, but her father was dead had been handed to her a few days back, and she still didn't know what she thought. She always knew how to handle things, but now? She didn't know what to do with herself. She'd clean the entire house, but she had messed stuff up again so she'd have more to clean, and now she was folding, and refolding clothes. She took several showers, and her hair hadn't been dry for days now.
But, the light in all this? School would start back soon, and Ave was coming to visit tonight. That was always either a really good thing or a bad thing. They always had a good time, so it really didn't matter at least. She moved down the stairs as she started to straighten up down stairs, and she passed her father's room. She swallowed, and she reached for the doorknob, and closed the door. She didn't care to look in there right this second.
She took the stairs two at a time, and she ended up in the dining room. She moved out of the dining room, through the kitchen, and she started to fiddling the things on the couch. She chewed her lip, and she didn't know what to do still. She could see her toybox sitting behind some chairs in the back. She sighed, not wanting to think about the past, and she slowly paced through the open doorway into the living room. She looked into the desk full of her father's papers next to the chair, and she slammed the roll top desk closed. She just didn't want to look at it! She dropped herself to the couch, pulling her legs up to his face, and she put her face down on her knees. She really just wanted to be somewhere, but she couldn't handle being at a party like this. Never, in a million years. She'd crack before she ever did something like that. Oh boy XD Outfit;; hereMusic;; Law and Order SVU Tag;; Ave ! GIVE ME YOUR HAND ( and i will help you to stand )BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT( i will always be by your side ) Eavan flitted around her bedroom, her hair still wrapped in a towel from the shower she’d taken only a half an hour ago, searching for her jacket. She was wearing a long-sleeved black and white stripped sweater and a pair of dark grey skinny jeans which accented just how tiny she actually was. Over the summer, right before school started, she had lost her mother in a Death Eater attack and from then her appetite just hadn’t been the same which resulted in weight loss. But since then she had slowly begun to start eating again, she was doing better and was coping with the loss of her mother [and subsequently the loss of her father, who buried himself in his work] and now it seemed that she needed to help her best friend cope with the loss of a loved one, or at least help to keep her mind off of it.
The click-clacking of nails against the hardwood stairs and the jingle of dog-tags alerted her that she wasn’t alone anymore, her dog, Kaitou, had wandered into her room his tail wagging a mile a minute and his tongue lolled to the side. Her mother and father had bred and handled show dogs for the past 15 and a half years so she was used to there always being dogs padding around the house. Since her mother’s death her father had been traveling almost nonstop with his top 3 prized show dogs, taking them all around the world to compete in championships. She hardly ever saw him when she was home and he rarely ever responded to her letters when she was at school, it was sad to think about when she realized that this was her life now. The rest of her family, with the exception of her cousin Eliot and his parents, all hated her and her father—if it weren’t for her friends at school then she’d be completely alone. Ave hated being alone. Maybe that was why she often strived to be the center of attention in most situations? She wanted to be recognized and she wanted to show her family that she wasn’t worthless because of her blood-status, she wanted to show them that she could make a name for herself and do something great.
“I’m sorry, handsome.” She crouched down to Kaitou’s level, running her fingers through his long silky blue merle fur, “But I’m going out tonight, I promise that when I come home I’ll spend the entire day with you. We’ll go to the park and play, yeah?” He probably understood nothing that she’d just said to him, but nodded his head and yipped excitedly anyhow, jumping up and licking her face affectionately. She laughed, petting his head one last time before straightening up and resuming her search for her jacket, finding it stuffed halfway underneath her bed.
“It’s cold out so I better bundle up.” She mused to herself, unwrapping the towel from her head and letting her damp curly locks cascade over her shoulder. The towel had absorbed most of the moisture in her hair so it wouldn’t be long before her hair was completely dry. She wished that she was old enough to perform magic outside of school, but she wasn’t—she’d turned 16 at the beginning of December, having had a small get-together with a few close friends at Eliot’s house. Her father had completely forgotten about her birthday, it had been his brother [Eliot’s father] and his wife who had suggested she invite a couple friends over for dinner. For the first time in a few years…Ave didn’t really feel like celebrating.
Snatching a scarf off of her bedpost and slipping her feet into her purple converse Ave bounded down the stairs, making sure that all of the dogs had enough food and water, before grabbing her keys off the table and heading out to the garage. Most wizards and witches didn’t know what cars were, let alone how to drive them, but her mother had been a muggle and both of her parents had stressed the importance of learning how to survive in the Muggle world as well as the wizarding one. So…her mother had taught her how to drive a little less than a year ago, and since she wasn’t old enough to legally apparate it was the best way for her to get around.
It took Ave a little over 2 hours to get to London, where Al lived, quite a distance but not one that she wasn’t used to making. The trip was long and lonely, mostly spent with her singing loudly to herself. Once she pulled into Al’s London neighborhood the sun was starting to set, she pulled up into Al’s driveway and shutoff the car, stepping out and slamming the door shut before jogging up the walkway and opening the door without knocking first. She didn’t need to announce her arrival by knocking or ringing the doorbell, she considered Al’s home to be her’s as well with how much time she had spent here in previous years.
“Al, I’m home!” She called out, placing her car keys on a desk in the hallway and marching through the house in search of her best friend. tagged; Al outfit; Herre words; 875 notes; we gonna get crunkkk~ credits; Jade <3

(I'm not a princess)(This ain't a fairytale)
Al knew this was going to better, but she didn't know how. Or how long, it really just happened one day, she guessed. Her dad eventually was going to fade from her mind, as Ave's mother sort of had, she guessed. Not faded, perhaps, but the pained lessened at least. The pain had to go away eventually. She just needed help, and she just needed time. Ave had time, and she was slowly getting better, or weight back and such, but she didn't know if her feelings would be different, maybe she would get fat instead of thin? Then Remus wouldn't care about her anymore and she would just be sad and fat!
Al's face must have shown her thoughts a bit, because the family of house elves, left to her by her grandfather and grandmother, bustled about, trying to fix things she'd knocked over. She cried earlier, and she assumed she would cry again later. She looked as they set food down in front of her and she wrinkled her nose, and she started to cry a bit, her eyes burning. She didn't want to eat it. She really would get fat now! She didn't look at them, but they moved off, and she looked at the food. She stared as the plate, and she stabbed a carrot with a fork. She ate it, and it didn't taste like a carrot, and she spit it into a napkin, setting it aside.
She stared at the wall, and she stood up. She got out of the room, and she moved into her father's study. The room was dark, and she pursed her lips, grabbing the chords to open the shades. She pouted, and she winced as the shades gave way and let the sun in her face. She turned away from the windows, and she took her wand, waving it at the fire place. She didn't care if she wasn't supposed to do that. She didn't care about much anymore. She tossed her wand onto the table, and she went towards a cabinate. She yanked it open, and bottles rattled together. God her father had been a drinker. She furrowed her brow, not knowing what was good and what was bad, and she heard Ave in the halls. Good! She could tell her what was good.
Al moved out of the room, and she toddled towards her friend. "I'm going to get fat, and Remus is going to leave me! I don't want him to leave! I hate food! I found booze, let's drink it so I won't get fat." She said, nothing making real sense to her. But, she didn't know what else to say really. She just wanted everything to stop being weird.
