EYE DETAILS: James has very pretty blue eyes. They don't exactly pop, but if you look at his face up close enough you can see how pretty they are.
HEIGHT/WEIGHT/BUILD: 5 feet and 11 inches tall. 160 pounds.
FACE: James has a face with sharp features. His jaw bone is pretty prominent. He has a medium sized nose, and his lips are bit on the big side. His eyes are a normal size for his face and they tend to be staring off into nowhere a lot when he thinks. His eyebrows are aren't bushy, but they aren't exactly thin either. His hair covers his forehead, and his skin tends to stay pretty clear. He has high cheek bones.
STYLE: James has a very simple style. Most of the time you'll find him in a tee shirt and a pair of jeans with some tennis shoes. He could dress a lot nicer if he wanted to, but he just doesn't put a lot into his appearance. He isn't a person who judges other people by their appearances too much.
FEELINGS: "I wish my father would just accept the fact that I do not like to play quidditch. I have no desire to be like him."
PLAYED BY: William Moseley

LOATHES: Quiddith, his father, being active, getting up early, being surrounded by people he doesn't know, dogs, riding brooms, loud areas, speaking in front of the class, being at home.
BOGGART: That his father will never be proud of him no matter what he does.
DEMENTOR: Having to tell his father that he was never going to play quidditch. The disappointment on his face haunts him to this day.
PATRONUS: An eagle. James' best memory is going to the zoo with his dad when he was eight. It is one of the last good memories he has with him, before the two started growing apart. He would love for their relationship to be like that again, but all they ever do is fight.
AMORENTIA: The smell of the bathroom after someone showers. The smell of freshly cut grass. The smell of cooking vanilla.
VERITASERUM: His mother left his father before he was born, and then dropped him off on his father's doorstep when he was a few days old. He and his father don't get along at all at home, but they put on a good act in public.
STRENGTHS: He can keep secrets very well. He is good at listening and giving advice. He is very good at charms.
WEAKNESSES: He is terrible at transfiguration. He can't ride a broom to save his life. He gets very shy if he doesn't have his friends around him.
OVERVIEW:
Quiet Thinker.
James is actually a very smart guy, the only reason he didn't get put into Ravenclaw is because since he is so lazy he doesn't care about his studies too much. James is the kind of guy that you see just sitting on the sofa staring out the window pondering anything from why the grass is green to why Griffins are made of different animals. James really doesn't like loud or busy situations. He has to have a calm and quiet room to go to and relax in or he becomes a very hard guy to get along with. James is pretty shy when it comes right down to it. He isn't gonna go out of his way to talk to someone he doesn't already know. He can't stand taking a class that he doesn't have any friends with. He just feels out of place and sits there without speaking to anyone. But if you were to see him around his close friends, he would seem like a very different person. Around his friends, while he is still quiet, he is all smiles and laughs. His friends are who make him happiest.
Compassionate.
James is quite the compassionate guy, so he doesn't get into fights with people very often. He's one of those people who is always wondering whether or not he hurt your feelings. He just can't stand the thought of possibly hurting someone. He knows how it feels to have your feelings hurt, and he just doesn't want to do that to anyone else. Even if they deserved a good going around, when his temper subsides, he is usually the first one to apologize. The only person he doesn't seem to have compassion for his his father, who he fights with constantly. James is very aware of the feelings of others and doesn't mind being the guy who just sits around and listens and offers advice. That's actually one of his favorite things to do. And being the nice guy that he is, he won't tell anyone your secret. James would probably hold his worst enemy while they were crying if the situation called for it.
Happy Person.
Despite the fact that he has a terrible relationship with both of his parents, James is a very happy guy. He is always smiling and loves to have a good time with his friends. Of course, he would rather curl up with some candy and watch a movie than go out, but he doesn't really care what he's doing as long as he's around his friends. But James doesn't have to be around his friends to be happy, he is just generally happy. He is happy reading, writing.. He is pretty much happy anywhere his dad isn't. Of course, being in a class by himself makes him pretty unhappy, but that isn't something he can't deal with. James is optimistic and upbeat, but not in a loud way like most people. He enjoys his happiness silently.
Lazy.
James is a very lazy kid, I'm talking like he would rather sleep until five in the evening on a Saturday than go to Hogsmeade. When he gets laid down for bed and falls into a deep sleep, getting up is something that is very hard for him. Despite that, he's just lazy in general. He would much rather sit on the couch and watch TV then get up and do anything. In fact, he hates physical exercise. Its amazing that he doesn't weigh five hundred pounds. This laziness also affects his grades. He would rather take a low but passing mark on something he could have made a very high mark on than put the work into it. He is also a big procrastinator. He's the person you see working on a ten page paper for the first time three days before its due. If James would actually put work into the things he did, they would be really good, but he just doesn't feel like it.

FATHER: Kevin Brandon Ackerman, Neutral, Griffindor, Professional Quidditch Player.
SIBLINGS: None.
OTHER IMPORTANT FIGURES: Anne Fae Ackerman, Neutral, Griffindor, Grandmother.
WEALTH STATUS: He is pretty well off due to the fact that his father is a professional quidditch player.
BIRTHPLACE: London, England.
CURRENT RESIDENCE: London, England.
OVERVIEW:
James' birth situation wasn't ideal. His parents were married, they weren't even in love. They were both in their twenties, and it was a very short and lovin' filled relationship. It was a relationship based on lust that lasted about two weeks. Neither of his parents had the presence of mind to be safe about what they were doing. About a month after they split up, Jolene found herself pregnant. She was afraid to tell Kevin, because she didn't want the baby, and she didn't want to give him the option to refuse. Nine months later, she went into labor. James was born a healthy baby boy, and even though it killed her to give him up, she knew he would be better off with his father. She was poor, jobless, and unable to provide for him. So after they both released from the hospital, she took him to Kevin's house. She placed him on the porch in his car-seat and rang the doorbell.
Kevin walked out five minutes later to a big surprise, but the resemblance he bore to the baby was undeniable. He picked him up and took him inside. He gave him a name, and he was in love with his son from the day he saw him. He was a great single father, with his mother there to help him. James got everything he wanted, except maybe his father's time. Kevin was always busy with quidditch, so James was left with his grandmother a lot. His grandmother became his mother figure. His fondest memories with her are the ones spent in the kitchen, baking cookies. To this day, he loves the smell of vanilla because of this.
As he got older, he began to feel an increasing pressure from his father to take an interest in quidditch, but it just never appealed to him. His father would always try to get him to go outside and play with him, but all James wanted to do was sit around and read. This caused a bit of a rift between he and his father, and at the tender age of seven, he couldn't stand it. So, he pretended to be interested in quidditch. He tried his best to ride a broom well, and make his dad proud, but it would never come to him, it alwasy just seemed so impossible. Still, his father seemed to be very pleased by the fact that he was trying, so no matter how much he hated it, he continued to. After all, it was pretty much the only time he got to spend with his dad.
For his eighth birthday his dad took him to the zoo. This is one of his favorite memories, because he and his dad got to spend time together without it having anything to do with quidditch. They saw all the animals, went thought some sort of maze, and went out to eat. To this day, that is his very favorite memory.
When he was eleven, he received his letter to go Hogwarts. He had read about the school since he learned to read from his grandmother, and was more than excited to attend. His father took him to Diagon Alley and got him all of his school items, including a a black barn owl named Mooners. He was so excited about it that it was all he talked about up until his first day, but that was when his dad started asking him about quidditch. Of course, it was unrealistic of him to believe James would make it his first year, but he wanted him to at least try. James didn't. When he came back home for the summer, he was forced to tell his father. His father said it was okay and that he could try out next year. James shook his head slowly and told his dad he would never be trying out. This was when the rift tore back open. They fought all summer, and James spent most of the summer with his grandmother.
Since then, James' life has been pretty normal. He made friends in school, has had a couple of small relationships, and just lazed about. He and his father's relationship has just gotten worse over the years, though. They can't even sit in the same room together anymore without fighting. James spends most of his time with his grandmother, but she makes him go home at least once a week. She says she wishes he would fix things with his dad. What she doesn't understand is that he wishes that more than anyone, except maybe his father. If the two could ever sit down and talk they would be able to make up, but all they do is fight.

She searched his face silently, wondering what his reply would be. Surely he would still want to see other girls on the side when they were married. He didn't seem as cruel as she was. He seemed pretty nice, he seemed like love might be something that was important to him, something he needed to be happy with spending the rest of his life with someone. That was how most people were. But in all honesty, she didn't know anything about what he was like. She just knew that he was good at a lot of stuff. He was the perfect first born son, more perfect than her brother when it came to listening to his father, obviously. Her brother had out right refused an arranged marriage, and for whatever reason, he got his way and the responsibility was shoved on to her. But she really didn't get that bad of a deal out of it. She actually got a pretty good deal. She was set for life. She didn't have to worry about dying alone or any of that stuff. So she just needed to get used to the fact that she would soon be married, and she would be just fine with it.
His next words shocked her a little bit. He told her not to worry about him seeing anyone else. She hadn't been worried, per say, but in a way it was kind of nice that they had agreed to be faithful. That way neither of them of them would have to think about the fact that went from someone else's bed to theirs. "That's nice. It'll be nice to have a faithful husband, hopefully we'll have a better relationship than my parents." She offered him a smile. She would not have dared told anyone else that her parent's marriage sucked, but why wouldn't she tell him? They were to be married, so there had to be a certain amount of trust between them. Trust and comfort. Love didn't even have to brought into the equation. Kimber didn't even know if she was capable of that kind of love. But she figured that after a couple of years they would at least care for each other. Unless they moved in together and realized that they just couldn't stand each other.
He went on to say that he didn't expect her to be a housewife. She laughed, a bit more loudly than she had meant to. She had never even tried to picture herself being a housewife. Her own mother wasn't even a housewife, which was part of her parent's relationship problems. Her father had wanted her to be one, but she had refused. Kimber and James had obviously gotten their defiant nature from their mother and their temper from their father. James had a bigger temper than Kimber, and she felt sorry for his future wife. He already beat up on bother her and her mother, and her father wasn't a stranger to hitting her mother. She looked at Julian. He wouldn't hit her. She could tell. If he ever did, though, he wouldn't live to the next day. She had often thought about killing James for hitting her, but she just decided better of it. She wouldn't be living there for much longer anyway. Before she could reply to the housewife comment, he began speaking again.
He went on to ask her if she was going to change her mind. She opened her mouth to tell him 'no', but he continued speaking so she just shook her head. He kept speaking, and her stomach rolled with nervousness as she listened. He wanted them to start being serious? She kept her face calm, but inside she was a little upset. She didn't do well with boyfriends. But then again, he was her fiance, so well.. She kind of had to do good with him. His next comment eased her a bit. He said they didn't have to date, and then he took her hand. Without even thinking, she brought her other hand up and started playing with his fingers. It was just something she liked to do. She loved to play with guy's fingers. She didn't know why, but her blue eyes became focused as she grabbed them, pulled on them, rubbed them with her fingers. She heard what he said, that they shouldn't look for someone to date. She looked up at him, though she continued to play with his fingers.
"I agree, we do need to start getting more serious about all of this. We can "date" if you want, but really, we're fiances, so we kind of are by default... Right?" She pursed her lips a bit as she thought about it, but just shrugged and parted her lips to continue to speak. "In any case, though, I'm cool with whatever you want. I'm sure my father would love to see us acting more like fiances as well. My mother too." She rolled her eyes at the thought of her mother. She hated that woman.
