OVERVIEW: Remus is incredibly self-conscious, hiding away the many scars from the painful monthly transformations well beneath layers of clothing. The entirety of his backside is scratched and scarred with old and newly healing scars.
His hair is a sandy-blonde color with a few grey hairs here and there, though they’re barely noticeable under normal conditions. The length of his hair could be described as a shaggy and short, coming to just a little below his ears, he likes to keep it as neat as he can, unlike James who seems to have perpetual bed-head.
Remus’ eyes are a beautiful light blue that come to life when he’s laughing with his friends and up to no good. His casual clothing oftentimes looks a bit haggard and unkempt despite the fact that he tries to look his best, giving off an air of exhaustion no matter what time of the month it is.
If you were to see Remus Lupin wandering the hallways you’d more than likely get the impression that he was the quiet type who found solace in the books he read. In assuming this you’d only be half right, but there is a whole other side to him that only his best-mates know.
He can be just as mischievous as James and Sirius and is oftentimes the brains behind the crazy schemes that they come up with. He’s the force that keeps everything held together; his quick thinking is what gets the Marauders out of trouble time and time again, though they certainly are no strangers to Detention.
He is exceptionally brilliant for his age, retaining nearly every bit of information he has ever read and putting it to practical use. Remus makes perfect marks in almost every class he is in, aside from a certain few that he struggles in (though he’s too embarrassed to admit it).
For one so young he’s been through a lot; Remus Lupin is 35 going on 70 with the graying hair to prove it. He is unbelievably kind hearted and is willing to help out anyone in need, no matter what background they come from or what situation they’re in. Perhaps this is why he’s such a likeable guy, Remus is very easy to get along with, the perfect, polite gentleman that any girl would be proud to bring home to meet her parents.

FATHER: Marc Lupin, 49 at death
SIBLINGS: -
OTHER IMPORTANT FIGURES:Sirius
WEALTH STATUS: Hobo
BIRTHPLACE: Leeds
CURRENT RESIDENCE: 12 Grimmauld Place
OVERVIEW: Remus was born in Leeds to a young couple with high hopes for their son. They weren’t long out of Hogwarts, both Gryffindors and they hoped he would grow up to follow in their foot steps. His mother stayed at home, and his father worked for the Ministry. As time progressed, his family wasn’t ever able to have another child, or chose not to, and Remus grew up as the only one. He wasn’t spoiled, far from it.
Everything in his life took a drastic turn one day when his father came home from work. He was livid. He could hear his father ranting to his mother about someone or another he’d gotten into it with at work. His father’s yelling scared Young Remus so he chose to venture outside. He was never told not to go out after dark, so he thought nothing of it, though really, he probably should have. As he kicked his ball around in the yard, he heard something from the bushes, but he had no time to run, he didn’t have any time to do anything before all he could do was scream and watch everything around him fade to black. Before his parents could get outside, whatever had attacked him was gone, and their son was a bloody mess in the grass, hanging somewhere between life and death.
As it turned out, he did survive, but he’d been attacked by a werewolf [who he later found out was named Fenrir Greyback]. He knew this would change everything, but he wasn’t sure how much of it would be changed, though it didn’t take him long to notice massive changes. His father didn’t even look him in the eyes anymore, his mother was always sad, he never had the strength to get up and play, he never felt well, and on top of all that, he was a hideous beast in a child’s body. That part was the part that hurt the worst. It was more then just a physical hurt, though the physical hurt was nearly unbearable, but knowing what a beat he was, that was what really did him in, and it made him hate himself, it truly did.
His childhood was spent moving from place to place so people couldn’t figure out he was a monster. His father grew wary of moving and told him one day he was sorry he had a son. Remus told him he was sorry he didn’t have a son, he had a monster. His father never mentioned his “regrets” again. And to the entire family’s surprise, he got his Hogwarts letter at 11, and his father wrote back to Dumbledore telling him Remus wasn’t fit to be there, and Dumbledore responded with a rather chastising letter towards his father for letting something like lycanthropy destroy his relationship with his son.
He was sent to Hogwarts, and he could have sworn the look on his parents faces as he left was pure relief. Relief for the fact he was gone, or the fact he got to go to school he’d never know. He wasn’t sure he wanted to know. As it went, he was sorted into Gryffindor, and it didn’t take long for others to befriend him. He knew they were just being nice to the shy boy with no friends, but regardless, they were the first friends he’d ever had. They’re names were James Potter, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew, and they would prove to be some of the most important people he would ever know, for better or for worse.
The group turned out to be nearly inseparable, and this was alright with Remus. He found he loved having friends, but he knew the second they found out what he was, they would turn around and walk away. He was sure of it. But, regardless of that, on a night during their forth year, he told them¸and they didn’t reject him, far from it. They embraced it for what it was, and in their fifth year, they became Animagi, illegally might I add, to join him during the nights he was his beastly self. No one could have asked for better friends, save for the time Sirius nearly got a Slytherin they all rather disliked killed, and Remus sent to Azkaban, but all was forgiven somehow or another. Remus always had been one to forgive and forget.
Besides that during his school career, he managed to make a few other friends, have a small social life, become a prefect and seemingly be set up for a bright future, but he always knew people like him never got far in life, despite anything in their person, nothing could change that fate.
They graduated from Hogwarts in 1976. James, Sirius and Lily all became Aurors; and Remus tried to get some form of job, but none of them last long once they figured out what he was. He was only able to support himself with help from James, and he hated it, but what else could he do? Though, one day everything changed. James and Lily hadn’t been married long when their son was born, and they continued their dangerous job of hunting Him. It would ultimately lead to their demise. From what he was told, they were betrayed by Sirius Black, and he was hauled off to Azkaban, only after he’d murdered Peter, and some Muggles. Voldemort had it out with James and Lily, leaving their son scarred and orphaned. His world was shattered in one night, and he was alone again.
He continued to bounce from job to job, barely making ends meet as it was. He got a little money when his parents died, but his relationship with them had been strained, and he didn’t feel he deserved their money, but he was their only child, so it was his.
His lucky break came in 1993, when Albus Dumbledore asked him to come teach Defense Against The Dark Arts at Hogwarts. He accepted gladly, and was welcomed happily by most, though the Potion’s Master was less than thrilled to have him there, but he could look past Severus’ dislike of him, and he would worry more about his job, and protecting his students from the recently escaped Sirius Black. As it was said, Black was probably after Harry, or so some thought, so Remus kept an eye on him.
When Sirius did manage to get to Harry, it turned out it wasn’t Harry he was after in the first place. It had been Ron Weasley’s rat, who turned out to be Peter Pettigrew. All of this made Remus’ head spin, that was until he lost his head and turned into the beast within and nearly killed his only living friend, students and Severus. But, what could one do really? He packed his bags and left. Eventually Sirius showed up again, and Remus had his friend again, and over the next year it became more nad more apparent that a war was upon them for a second time, and Remus joined the Order just as he did the first time around, and he would fight until the very end, be that the end of the war, or his end; whichever came first.
