OVERVIEW: Lydia is an open young woman, she will speak her mind even if it is not asked for. She is independent and is willing to work alone if need be, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t like to be with a group of friends. A very silly girl she tends to partake in gossip, spreading rumors about other people or listening to rumors that she hasn’t heard. Although if the rumor is too outrageous she will not believe a single word of it and probably just brush it off with a sigh or slight giggle.
She is a very flirtatious girl, tending to set her mind on celebrities or very hunky men. She isn’t the most successful in relationships - apparently guys will avoid her very girly personality once it starts to embarrass them. Should they break up with her she can sometimes go into massive mood swings by yelling at the top of her lungs or crying her eyes out. When she does get into one of those state of mind she will often run to her closest friends for comfort. After a few months Lydia will treat the man like any other student pretending they never went out leaving awkward silences or stares between the two.
Around her friends she is very social and will talk till her mouth falls off and they usually listen, though of course Lydia is also a very good listener so she will return their favor when they have a speech or rant to make to her. Lydia is also very helpful trying to help her friends in homework or essays whenever she can although sometimes they tend to do better without her help. She will not take no for an answer so she will do whatever she can to help out other students around the school, except the Slytherins, which can sometimes annoy people as she may end up doing more harm than good. OVERVIEW: Rebecca and Harrison lived like normal Hogwarts students during their school years. Rebecca studied nonstop trying to get very good OWL’s and NEWT’s while Harrison enjoyed his years goofing off and having fun. Harrison loved Quidditch so it was no question that he played on his house team from his third year on. Sure he was only a reserve player, but he was a very good beater. The future couple didn’t actually meet until Harrison’s final year where he found himself in the school’s library very often that year. Rebecca had started helping him around the library since she knew where almost every book was in the library and as they talked and studied together a spark ignited and the two decided as soon as Rebecca graduated they would marry.
Two years later the two got married and lived very happily for about a few months. Harrison then got a job as a professional Quidditch player for the Appleby arrows which unfortunately had him coming and going from work and home very frequently. About a year later when Rebecca got pregnant, Harrison was asked to leave his wife and future child to play for the Caerphilly Catapults. Harrison didn’t want to go and leave his children at first, but when his wife gave him her consent to play for the other team he became very grateful that she could still be his wife even when they were so far apart. Harrison loved his wife so even though he was off almost in another world he told Rebecca he would think of her every day. The couple said their parting words as Harrison left to join the Caerphilly Catapults leaving Rebecca to care for her child alone.
A few months later Rebecca gave birth to a beautiful baby girl whom she named Lydia, since that was the flower Rebecca had first smelt as a child. Lydia was a very exuberant child with a smile always on her face showing the love she had for her mother. As a baby Lydia didn’t see her father very often and the few times she did see him it was in the fireplace where his head was sticking out of. Lydia wasn’t allowed near the fire though since Rebecca feared her daughter of getting burned by the flames. As Lavender grew older Rebecca started teaching her about the wizarding world and the skills Lydia might learn when she gets accepted to Hogwarts. Rebecca had no knowledge if her daughter would even become a witch, she just taught Lavender everything she could especially arithmancy. Lydia never showed any interest in arithmancy as a child and as she grew older she disliked it even more, but she still followed her mother’s instruction just to make her happy.
Around the age of eight was when Lavender started to be able to perform magic when she got mad at her mother forcing her to read another arithmancy book. Lydia launched the book her mother gave to her across the room without even touching the book. After this little incident Rebecca stopped forcing Lydia to study and started teaching Lydia more about the wizarding world. Lydia learned many things as a child and every now and then her mother even took her to places like Diagon alley where Lydia stood in awe at the many interesting things around her. Lydia grew older and around her eleventh birthday she received a letter by owl from Hogwarts stating she was to attend the school starting the next term. Rebecca was very proud of her daughter to be accepted, but she didn’t expect her not to go. A few months went by and Lydia left for Hogwarts where she traveled by train to the school where she could learn to control her magic.

RP SAMPLE: Another morning leads to another exciting lesson in Divination. Lavender Brown got out of bed yawning, very happily at the very fantastic looking weather she could see outside her window. She was looking forward to another Divination lesson with Parvati, her best friend. She loved divination and the mystery and excitement it brought of events that would eventually come to be. Sometimes the predictions weren’t the happiest of occasions (such as Lavender’s rabbit dying), but maybe the prediction was a warning telling her to be careful and on guard should anything happen. Then again being a member of the D.A. helped as she was learning lots of protective charms and spells that could help her should she ever be in danger.
She did miss her Won-Won a bit, but seeing as Hermione was also missing she couldn’t feel a bit jealous. Lavender erased the thought of Ron and Hermione kissing from her brain. Why was she thinking these things? She had broken up with him last year, so she should be thinking about other things such as wondering how she was going to go through the day without the Carrows trying to torture her and other students. Lavender did enjoy Neville’s rants to the Carrows on a daily basis, but she couldn’t help and feel he was doing a bit too much. Then again she wasn’t doing anything herself so someone had to do it. Getting out of bed Lavender looked over to see if Parvati was awake, only to see her bed empty. Was Parvati already at breakfast? Lavender wasn’t sure, but she would eventually see her in Divination so she got dressed and left the dormitory.
Upon arriving in the Great Hall, Lavender saw that a lot of people were already awake as almost all the house tables were filled with students. She quickly walked over to the Gryffindor house table and found Parvati sitting with a few other girls in their house. Lavender sat in an open spot in front of Parvati and took a piece of toast to nibble on. Lavender was a bit quiet for a few minutes and finally thinking of what to talk about she asked, “What do you think is going to happen in Divination?” It was hard to guess what would happen in Divination, but Lavender couldn’t help and be curious about what prediction the professor will make about their lives. Of course, Lavender wasn’t expecting an answer from Parvati since they talked so often, so she decided to change the subject to something a bit more interesting, “Do you know when the next D.A. meeting is?” Lavender wanted to learn something new in the meeting, but it seemed that meetings were getting less frequent. Then again some students started missing such as Neville who apparently had been missing from breakfast today. She didn’t know why Neville was missing, but Lavender knew Neville the only possible reason he could be missing is if he was doing something to rebel against the Carrows. Lavender was a bit nervous who would be next to go missing? The Carrows were horrible as they forced students to torture other students with the Cruciatus curse. Lavender hated doing this and every time she refused she was put under the curse’s influence and it was horrible.
Lavender couldn’t really talk right now, her mind was still flooded with thoughts of Ron, Hermione, and Neville, and so after finishing her piece of toast she left the Great hall with Parvati. The two girls walked over to the Divination tower where they waited for the ladder to fall so they could enter the room. “Parvati, do you know where Harry, Ron, and Hermione are?” She paused, thinking about how to phrase her next question, “You think they would be in school with us.” Lavender knew Parvati didn’t know the answer, but her curiosity was killing her and even if Parvati just knew simple gossip it would be some comfort to know what had happened to her friends. After a few minutes of talking about Harry, Ron, and Hermione, some of which turned Lavender into a fit of giggles, the ladder to Divination class fell through a trap door. Lavender and Parvati quickly climbed up the ladder and sat at a table near the professor’s desk eagerly waiting for the professor to start the class.
