EYE DETAILS: His eyes are a dark shade of chocolate brown, not a very interesting color in his opinion.
HEIGHT/WEIGHT/BUILD: Alex is around 5'7" and weighs approximately 139lbs, making him a little skinny for his height. He has the classic muggle 'skater' look, though of course not many wizards know what that is so he's usually pegged as the 'skinny weird boy'.
FACE: His face is thin and a little long, he doesn't really have very much fat to it. Alex's eyebrows are a little thick, but he's a guy so they're not supposed to be well-manicured and pretty [lolwhut?]
STYLE: When not forced to wear that ridiculous school uniform [he has a thing against conformity] he tends to wear comfortable clothing, well what he considers to be comfortable. Usually a pair of tight fitted jeans and a form-fitting tshirt of some kind. He's not out to make some sort of fashion statement, if it's not dirty then he'll wear it.
FEELINGS: He doesn't really know how he views himself in the appearance department. Alex believes himself to be attractive and doesn't really care what others think of him or his appearance, he knows that he doesn't fit the mold of what most wizards would consider to be 'normal' and he's okay with that.

BOGGART: Since the day his sister left he's been absolutely terrified that more and more people that he cares about will walk out of his life. Alex doesn't want to be alone and he doesn't want to lose any of his loved ones.
DEMENTOR: The day his sister left them. He was very close to her and when she moved out it really got to him. It doesn't help that he hasn't heard from or seen her since that day, and that was years ago.
PATRONUS: Ocicat --> When his older sister, Joanna, taught him how to play Quidditch in their backyard when he was younger. It's a simple memory, but it's his favorite one because it was before she left and back then he and his sister were so close, he really looked up to her.

+ When Alex was 14 he accidentally set fire to a local barn, he panicked and didn't know what he could do to put out the flames since he was too young to perform magic outside of school legally. He had to sit there and watch, helplessly, as the neighbors and the barn owners came out and tried to put out the fire through muggle methods to try and save the animals that were inside. They weren't successful and ever since that night he's hate fire and the destruction that it causes. He's never told anyone that it was really him who started it and who was responsible for the death of 6 horses and 12 barn cats--he'll never forgive himself for that.

OVERVIEW:
Overall, Alex is a rather kind-hearted person which is a refreshing change from the usual douche bags that seem to think that they run the school. He sometimes may come off as a little awkward, but that's only because he's assessing a situation and trying to figure out the best course of action, or if he's unsure of how to react to something.
He's got a softness for animals [although snakes and toads freak him out a little] and would put himself in danger to stop animal abuse, that's how dedicated he is to them. Despite that though, Alex is anti-fighting, he tends to try and avoid confrontation and altercations as best as he can but sometimes when there is no other option he'll step in.
Alex has a decent sense of humor, or at least he seems to think so, he'll frequently tell some dirty and inappropriate joke--usually something that's on the sexual side--in hopes of getting a few laughs from his peers. He doesn't really care about being the center of attention, but he doesn't mind it every once in a while [as long as it's the good sort of attention!]
He doesn't care about 'blood purity' or status, in fact, he thinks it's obnoxious that there are people out there who base their entire existence on those particular views, it's stupid.
Alex doesn't understand why everyone wants to be the same, why people strive to be accepted into certain cliques and groups by dressing the same, talking the same, and acting the same. Isn't the reason for living to show others that you're an individual? What's the fun in life if everything's the same, it's monotonous and redundant.[/SIZE]

OVERVIEW:
Anna Johnson met Cyrus Vale while still in school, he was a year ahead of her and was one of those popular blokes on the Quidditch team, always arrogantly strutting about the castle and snogging any girl that laid herself out to him. Anna was pretty appalled by his obnoxious personality and it's no surprise that he soon came to realize that she was probably the only girl at Hogwarts who didn't want him. Naturally he became curious, his attempts to woo her all failed and blew up in his face. But he was a persistent man and once he set his mind to something he wouldn't stop until he got it.
It wasn't until his 7th year, and her 6th year, that she finally said yes to a date with him. They were a funny pair, often found bickering over the strangest subjects before making up and snogging each other senseless minutes after. Their relationship didn't end after Cyrus' graduation, they kept in touch and she even spent her holidays during her 7th year with him and his family. It came as no surprise to anyone who knew them that shortly after her graduation they wedded, it was a big celebration full of family, friends, and merriment.
A few years later, when Anna was 20, she gave birth to their first child--Joanna Alexis who was a troublemaker from the very start. She was daddy's little girl and enjoyed causing trouble for the young couple--never wanting to go to bed on time, running around the neighborhood and making her father chase after her, or disappearing from sight when they were out in public. Her parents merely chalked it up to her starting her Terrible Twos early and figured that she'd grow out of it.
Six years later Alexander James was born, sufficiently calming Joanna down quite a bit with her fascination of the baby boy. She would follow him around, watching over him like a hawk. Alex quickly grew attached to his sister, sometimes he would even cry when she left the room and wouldn't stop until she came back. Which, later on, posed a problem since she would have to leave for Hogwarts.
The summer before Joanna went into her 3rd year at Hogwarts, the family moved from Canterbury, England into a nice neighborhood in Bristol. They had been scoping out houses that were larger than their current one, but affordable enough for them to be able to purchase it.
Alex was thrilled to find out that the neighbors had a son his age and he no longer felt the stinging loneliness when his sister went away to school because he finally had someone there who would fill in the gap. Though, he was still a little bummed whenever she had to leave but he had Chris to keep him company, the two of them got into all kinds of shenanigans together. A year later his little sister Alyson Aria was born.
It wasn't until Alex and Chris were 10 that they started to...to look at each other in a different light. Alex felt a little weird about like liking his best friend, so he never told anyone about it.
That was also the year that Joanna brought home her newest boyfriend, Shawn Mackenzie, a dare-devil of a boy who smoked a pack a day and partied heavily. Needless to say their parents were not pleased with her choice of a boyfriend, instigating fights over him and demanding that she break up with the boy, he just wasn't good for her!
During these fights Alex would find solace in sneaking out of the house and lying in the grass in the backyard and just staring up at the sky, listening to the crickets chirping. The arguments carried on for another year, Joanna was going in to her 7th year of Hogwarts when Alex [and to his excitement, Chris as well!] go his letter of Acceptance! The excitement overshadowed his growing apprehension that something seemed a little off, but he wouldn't know what that something was until the end of the year when his sister graduated and walked out of their lives to run off with her boyfriend. Alex was devastated but held onto the hope that she would write to him or come and visit--she never did.
Now he's in his 6th year at Hogwarts, he still hasn't heard a word from his sister but he likes to think that she's somewhere out there, thinking of him even though he knows that's just him being a hopeless optimistic.
