EYE DETAILS: Jolene's eyes are a relatively dull color, in her opinion. They are naturally a greenish-gray hue, but she is often seen changing their color. Her current favorite is a deep shade of royal blue. When she's not consciously changing her eye color, they can be seen in varying shades of violet - when she's relaxed or at ease - and golden brown - when she's stressed or lost in her own thoughts.
HEIGHT/WEIGHT/BUILD: 5'7. Her weight depends on whether or not she's trying to amuse people. She naturally weighs around 145 pounds - give or take a few numbers. When she's in a happy mood, however, she has a tendency of changing her body to look like exaggerated copies of her coworkers or the occasional overweight professor that no longer teaches at Hogwarts.
FACE: Jolene can make her face take on numerous guises. Her natural face is very soft and feminine, with prominent cheekbones and a smooth jawline. She is born naturally with an aristocratic face - from her mother's side. Those that know Jolene best would say that her face is a clay mold. She can change her features to look like anyone, or a combination of people. When she comes across a few of the younger students - those that have lost their way, are on their way to the hospital wing, etc. - she uses to opportunity to cheer them up by giving her face the most humorous characteristics she can think of, whether they be animal or human.
STYLE: Jolene's guilty pleasure is Muggle clothing. Though she is Pureblood, she can admit that Muggles are very fashionable. It's so easy to grow bored with Wizarding clothes - dress robes, witch's evening gowns - and Muggle clothing holds so much more variety. She dresses in almost any form of Muggle fashion outside of the classroom - blue jeans, blouses, sweaters, skirts, shorts. She wears witch's robes once in awhile - mainly when she's mimicking other witches or wizards - but she is very comfortable in Muggle clothing.
FEELINGS: Jolene is a very independent person. She is very eager when it comes to knowledge - the Sorting Hat's reason for putting her in Ravenclaw - and loves to speak of current theories in the magical world. She's curious about Muggles, but doesn't loathe them as most other Purebloods do. The way she sees it, she does not know enough about them to hate them, and, given her respect for their fashion choices, she doesn't believe they can be all bad. Jolene absolutely loathes people that believe they are superior to all others, and would gladly give a few of them a hard kick in the ass. She's a sympathetic soul, so she tends to stick up for the little guy - namely Hufflepuffs and a few of her favorite Ravenclaws - and will not hesitate to state her mind when it comes to something she's passionate about. Despite all of these personality traits, she is a very strict teacher. She very rarely allows a paper to be turned in late, and when she does, it is because the student has proven without a reasonable doubt that they could not possibly finish their work in time. The only times she has had to make extensions or allowances in her classroom has been in the even that a student has lost a loved one - be it student, parent, or other family member. She does allow an ounce of tolerance now and again, as long as certain events in her class do not result in a student being sent to the hospital wing. She's considered by many students one of their favorite teachers for her sense of humor and witty comebacks. She does not allow anyone - student or colleague - to push her around.

BOGGART: Jolene's biggest fear is to fall in love. Though she's a very open and friendly person, she is very reluctant to trust someone enough to allow them into her heart. That is her biggest weakness, as well. She's afraid that, if she does fall in love, that it will be with the wrong man, and that he will treat her they way many other girls have been treated in the past; how Jolene was treated five years ago.
DEMENTOR: Jolene's worst memory was of her relationship with William. When she was 18, she got engaged to William, and she couldn't have been happier. That is, until she found him the night before their wedding on top of one of the bridesmaids. She'd never felt so hurt, so betrayed, and she believes her worst memory will always be of finding him naked with his tongue shoved into another woman's mouth.
PATRONUS: Fox =] (look up what it symbolizes). Jolene's best memory is of the day she was appointed Transfiguration professor at Hogwarts. Not only did it mean she could go back to her old educational dwelling place, it meant that she could escape her family and return to England. When Jolene had called off the wedding, her parents had been very disappointed in her, and they had refused to return to England when she'd begged them to, forcing her to stay with them. Leaving France meant that she not only got to escape her failed attempt at marriage, but her overbearing family, as well.
AMORENTIA:

VERITASERUM:
-Jolene believes she's falling in love with the most infuriating colleague she's ever had!
-She's more fascinated with Muggles than she lets on, but it's merely an academic curiosity. She's not in love with Muggles or anything, but she does want to know more about them.

-Her knowledge
-Care of Magical Creatures
-Teaching
-Her sense of humor
-Her sense of understanding
-Metamorphmagus
-Potions (and she points it out to Fenmore every chance she gets)
WEAKNESSES:

-Her need to know everything

-Her temper
-Her need to be independent ALL THE TIME
OVERVIEW:
Charming - In spite of her occassional 'spitfire' attitude, Jolene is a very charming woman. With French ettiquette ingrained into her from birth, as well as a 'proper' Pureblood upbringing, this Ravenclaw princess knows how to get her way, and just what kind of face she needs - pun intended - to get it.
Stubborn - There's no doubt about it, Jolene is about the most stubborn witch a wizard could come across. When she believes in something, she sticks to it, and it takes a lot of proof - and undoubtable logic - to sway her opinion. She's always been one to stand her ground and refuse to believe in bullshit. In fact, in one of her more creative moods, Jolene has been known to hand a few 'bullshitters' a square of toilet paper so that they could whipe their mouth.
Humorous - Jolene has an amazing sense of humor. When someone teases her, she always has the perfect comeback, and is always one for witty jokes and light-hearted banter among her colleagues. She allows the students to see her funnier side sometimes so that they can understand that a little humor is okay now and again - as long as it doesn't go too far - as well as to give them a sense of security around her. Who doesn't trust the funny teacher that's willing to lend a helping hand?
Intelligent - Jolene wasn't put into Ravenclaw house for nothing! She was the top of the class when she attended Hogwarts, and she continues to feed her thirst for knowledge to this day. Though she does not own the stereotypical pair of taped glasses, she is a nerd at heart.

FATHER: Jaque DeLoaché, 47, Entrepeneur (made millions of British pounds of of private, but revolutionary, Wizarding inventions), Neutral, Ravenclaw
SIBLINGS: N/A
OTHER IMPORTANT FIGURES: Jolene owns a black and white cat she had purchased from Magical Menagerie in her first year. It's a 1/4 Kneazle named Cheshire; Chess, for short.
WEALTH STATUS: Jolene's wealth is entirely based on her teaching wages, as she hates spending money that she hasn't earned. So, I'd say she's lower middle-class. *Hogwart's teachers can't make that much money*
BIRTHPLACE: London, because father believes that the English possess the most efficient health care centers in Europe.
CURRENT RESIDENCE: Hogwarts
OVERVIEW:
Jolene grew up in the industrialized city of Paris, France. Though she lived in a magical community at the very heart of the city, she always found herself surrounded by Muggles. Her mother had always had a very harsh view of Muggles, but her father was very much like Jolene: He thought that there was much to learn from them. He did not consider himself equal with them, by no means, but he did respect them, to an extent. Their ability to adapt and grow as a community without any form of magical aide was impressive to him, and, when Jolene's mother wasn't around, he encouraged a choice few Muggle practices, merely for the knowledge that, despite his child being surrounded by magic all of her life, she would never be labeled as a 'lazy child'. He believed that Muggle labor was a way of making others realize that not everything should be easy, and he was right. Magic used as anything other than a survival tool or a learning device was a sign of pure laziness.
Jolene's school days were wonderful. Her mother had had a right fit when her daughter had decided to side with her father when it came to educational institutions. Her mother wanted her to attend Beauxbatons; her father wanted her to attend Hogwarts. Jolene chose the latter. By the time Jolene's schooling days were through, her mother had realized her mistake, and would gladly dote upon her in the presence of company - namely the women whose daughters attended Beauxbatons - and brag of her accomplishments. When comparing scores with the other mothers after exams, Jolene was rewarded with certain privileges on her summer vacations - due to the fact that she always scored higher than any other student her mother came across. She graduated from Hogwarts at the top of her class, something to be very proud of. Yet, while her mother did exactly that, Jolene would simply turn red and try to fade into the shadows.
Upon Jolene's 18th birthday, she had met and fallen in love with a young wizard in France named William. They courted and quickly became engaged; it was one of the best moments of young Jolene's life. Unfortunately, their romance was not to be. The night before they were to be wed, Jolene had sought William out in order to give him a pre-wedding rpesent. When she had entered his room, she found him on top of another woman, barely noticing her presence as he became 'better aquainted' with the French barrista. Jolene had stormed out of the house and refused to look back.
Her parents had been furious. Her father, for not hexing the boy, and mother, for leaving him. Viviana believed that the only way to live a happy life was to marry a handsome, wealthy man and bear his children - as well as his estranged behaviors. Her parents eventually told her that they accepted her decision to stay away from William - despite the fact that her mother had absolutely refused to move to England with Jolene in favor of staying close to William's family. When it became clear that her parents had no intention of allowing her to leave the country, as well, the young Ravenclaw alumni took the first chance she could to return to England in the form of an employment opportunity at her old school. Now that she is back in Hogwarts, Jolene has no intention of leaving. As for her heart, well...there are a few walls that need to be broken down before anything serious happens.

RP SAMPLE:
Chuckling loudly when Kacie looked back at him and threw him a playful comment, Sirius said, "Well, of course I am. I haven't been denied yet. I'm just not trying to my fullest extent." As she raised a skeptical eyebrow at him, he moved closer to her, his silver eyes smoldering as they stared into her green. He smirked and nodded at her murmur about her reputation. He grinned at her laughter, sending butterflies fluttering in her stomach. She didn't know why, but she wanted him closer to her, and he was already in her personal space as it was. A sudden, wide smile fluttered onto his face, and she knew that he had noticed her blush. He reached out a hand and touched her skin with it, feeling the warmth on his fingertips. "Merlin, Helms, it feels like you have a bloody fever." Then, he grinned, moving away yet remained a lot closer to her than he had been before. Her face reddened even further in embarrasement, and she pushed at his arm, looking away from him. "Shut up, you bloody git," she said, a small, embarrased smile on her lips. With a raised brow, Sirius moved on top of her again, his face inches from hers. Kacie suddenly found that she couldn't breathe. "I could be brave for you," he whispered silkily, his voice rippling with satin. He touched the tip of his nose to hers, his silver leaking into the green. She didn't want to break the gaze. Those eyes were just too beautiful to look away from. It was almost like a staring game, and she could practically taste the tension in the air. Just as she began to lean forward, however, he moved away. She blinked in surprise, and forced herself not to glare at Sirius. Oh, well, she thought smugly, time for revenge. A slow, seductive smile crept onto Kacie's face as she turned to look at Sirius. In a moment's time, she repeated the action he had taken twice, moving so that her body rested above his, her arms propping her up as she tilted her head to the side curiously, an animal's movement, and stared into his eyes. Their noses were touching once more, and a wide, teasing grin flitted across her face. "Really now?" She leaned her weight on one arm, as she lifted the other towards his face slowly, her hand brushing his hair to the side, stopping just beside his penetrating silver eyes. "Gorgeous eyes," she muttered, so low that even she had trouble hearing. Her hand moved slowly, barely touching his skin, past his neck, to the top of his shirt, to the small amount of chest he had left exposed. "Are you sure you can take it? I much prefer wild, courageous cats over cowardly lions." She noticed a faint blush creeping up his neck when she spoke. She smiled; at least now she knew that she wasn't the only one affected in this situation. It was so embarrassing to have mentioned something so private, though, probably something his friends didn't even know about. She knew he wouldn't want anything of the sort exposed. Plus, he'd probably hate her for exposing such a fact, though, in her opinion, it was something to be proud of. He turned his gaze to her and then murmured, "I just want to save that, you know? For the girl that I fall in love with." He sighed, his silvery eyes burrowing into hers for quite a bit longer than necessary. She nodded in understanding. "That's a very admirable quality, Sirius," she replied. "You know, if more of the right type knew this about you, you truly would be the most eligible bachelor at Hogwarts." Then, his gaze drifted away from hers and floated up towards the stars. She followed the example, and, as a small smile plastered itself to her face, she began to hum, an old Muggle tune she had learned long ago.
Sirius rolled his eyes when she scoffed his pranks. With a huff, he muttered, "Snivelly deserves every bit he gets," he said coldly. She nodded in agreement, feeling that it was best not to say anything else at the moment. No need to strike the match to his infamous temper. He eyed Kacie when she mentioned Snape helping her out on occasion, snorting at her, clearly unbelieving of this little fact. He gazed at her again, clearly questioning her sanity. "Were you friends with Snivelly, Helms? And here I thought you were alright." He smirked at her and then looked away. Kacie barked out a surprised laugh. "God, no!" She shook her head vehemently, "But he did intercept quite a few of the Slytherin pranks. He kept me from drinking a goblet of Verictusirum one time." She raised a scolding eyebrow to Sirius. He did not seem to realize just how dangerous that was. Had she drunken from that goblet in her Second Year, she doubted she would even be where she was now, and she had to admit, she owed that to Severus, however angry she was with him. He had his good moments now and then, just like everyone else. Sirius looked back at her when she began to talk again and he moved a hand to her wrist when she suddenly became angry. The touch was enough to make her take a few deep, calming breaths, but it did nothing to completely disolve the anger she felt. Turning her face to his again, he whispered, "You're not a pure-blood nor a half-blood, are you, Helms?" Kacie exhaled shakily as he said this, and she looked away from him once more, refusing to allow the tears to exit her eyes. She did not want Sirius to see her like this, on the verge of losing it. "If you tell anyone, Sirius, I swear..." her voice broke on the last word. She closed her eyes, and after several deep breaths, she looked at him once more, her eyes now clear, emotionless, the wall back in place. "Adromeda was a blood traitor in their eyes. They would do things far worse if they realized a muggleborn was in the midst." Sirius smiled widely. Smirking, he allowed a chuckle to escape through his lips. She raised a curious eyebrow at him. "Care to let me in on the joke?" She asked.
Smirking widely at her comment, Sirius nodded in agreement. "Of course. Of course. But one can't have too many secrets, because then they might go insane because of the burden." He threw her a knowing look, and she frowned. "You saying something about my mental health, Mr. Black?" she forced her expression into one of dead seriousness, almost anger, though on the inside, she was laughing with delight. It was fun to mess with a few people, and the thought of pulling Sirius' strings for a bit was too appealing a thought to pass up. He grinned when she called him arrogant. She suppressed the urge to roll her eyes, an as if he didn't already know! lightbulb lighting above her head. "But, of course, m'dear! I wouldn't have half of the school's population hovering around me if I weren't. Although, I don't really like the attention from the guys." She laughed loudly, pitying the poor bloke. She knew what it was like to be hit on by the same sex, as well - Muggle world, she shuddered inwardly - and could not help but share the pain of his experiences. He shivered and then muttered, "Because I could distract you with my devilish looks. I might even strip naked just to bribe you." He chuckled softly. She grimaced playfully, chuckling lowly. "Please God, no. Spare the world one disaster at a time, please."When she spoke, his smile faded and he just stared at her, the smirked suddenly, as if just realizing something. He leaned forward and kissed her on the cheek, and she blinked in surprise, her cheeks flushing in embarrassment and pleasure. She mentally slapped herself. She was getting worked up over a kiss on the bloody cheek? From Sirius Black?. Then, while touching her hair, he whispered, "I've never been so insulted in my life." She smirked at him, the seriousness of the moment vanishing momentarily. "How do you do that?" She couldn't stop herself from asking, "Just take a serious moment and...making it better? A joke, instead of something to genuinely think about?" He gave her an appreciative gaze and then slid his hand away from her hair, allowing it to fall next to his side, and she let out a sigh, the warmth next to her disappearing. She felt suddenly cold at the loss of contact. Frowning, he muttered, "What's that from? Is that a quote of some sort? From a book, perhaps?" He wiggled his eyebrows, and she chuckled at the sight, amused. She shook her head. "No. It's an expression my mum has used many times over the past sixteen years." She chuckled fondly at the memory of her mother. Sure, they had had their rough patches, but they were able to move past them. The latest one, however, had been the worst. Neither of them had truly gotten over it, but they were willing to put it aside for now, leave it for another time.
Sighing loudly, he wrenched his gaze away from her, and she chewed on the inside of her cheek, not knowing what to say. Eying her closely when he commented about her face, he threw her a grin and muttered, "You realize I was calling you beautiful, right?" Another handsome grin flitted onto his face, and she found herself smiling in response. It was like a chain reaction with him; see him smile, smile back. She felt herself growing addicted to his impish grins, and wanted to see them more often. "Yeah, I did," she nodded, "That's why I said thanks. But, as you should have noticed by now, I tend to babble. Just ask Thomas." He tilted his head to the side before reaching out to touch her cheek. "What about with me?" His grin was softer this time, and for once, she found she could not smile back. She nodded, "In time, I think I might trust you. But that's the key, isn't it? Time." He sighed when she spoke of demons. His eyes grew a far away look, and soon, his expression showed a flicker of the pain he was feeling at the moment. "I've never been extremely good at hiding my expressions." He shrugged. She mimicked his movement. "You've never really been forced to," she replied bluntly. There was no time for dilly-dallying. Now was a moment for the truth, and the sad thing was, most of the time, the truth wasn't pretty. There are harsh realities to this world, and it's with the hand your dealt that you realize the things you know. He pursed his lips at her and then muttered, "Don't be like that, Kacie. Do you plan on being alone for the rest of your life?" He sighed, then gazed at her sadly. She frowned at that look, not liking the pity in his expression. "No," she replied stubbornly, "But for the time being, while I'm at Hogwarts, I have to be careful. Two years to go and the blokes won't know what to do with me," she joked. With a soft whisper, he murmured, "I'm very trustworthy, I can assure you. But, if you don't want to trust me now, I'm fine with that. We've only just begun to get to know each other. Besides, this won't be the only time I ever talk to you, will it?" He threw her another handsome smile, and she hoped beyond a doubt that they would be able to meet again. She grinned at him, "Thanks," she said, then added sincerely, "I hope not. It'd be a bit hard, though, if you think about it." She smirked as an idea formed in her mind, "Actually, there are a lot of ways we'd be able to get to know each other without the school butting their noses into anything." She thought of the owls in Hogwarts. If anything, when they wanted to talk, they could send each other an owl. Though both of their owls were recognizable to anyone, Kacie thought that they would be able to use different owls, decoys, in a way, so as to avoid detection. Her eyes were alight with the possibilities, and other ideas worked themselves around in her head, like wheels working inside a clock. This was brilliant!
He nodded in agreement, and she was not surprised. It was common knowledge that Sirius hated his family, Bellatrix the most. He looked at her when she spoke of Bellatrix hating her more than Snape, raising his eyebrows in surprise. Smiling, he muttered, "Then, she's seen something in you that suggests you doing something besides becoming a Death Eater?" Kacie snorted in disgust at the thought of the girl. "Just because I don't grovel at her feet and suck up to her, she thinks I'm a member of the Order," she shook her head exasperatedly. The whole subject was only getting her riled up, and she longed for a subject change. Bellatrix was not on her most-perfect-conversation-starters list, nor did she ever plan on making it that. He nodded, his eyes distanced, as if remembering some old memory. He threw her an apologetic smile when he growled, and she smirked at him, remembering when she would have the same occasional slip-ups. Sirius was angry, though, he had an excuse; he was a boy. When a girl began to growl in a way he did, however, people tended to stare. She had to be careful when her Animagus instincts overtook her. He laughed when she spoke of pissing his cousin off. "Oh, bravo, Helms! I didn't think you had it in you!" She raised an almost-offended eyebrow at him. "I guess most first impressions are wrong, then?" she replied smugly. He smiled again, shoving her playfully in the arm, and she chuckled in response, her laughter intermingling with Sirius', a wonderful combination, in her opinion.
He snorted derisively when she spoke. Indignantly, he exclaimed, "Like hell I didn't mean it! He already is one of them!" His voice turned into a hiss at his last exclamation and he clenched his fists with renewed fury. She sighed, shaking her head at him. "Ugh!" she exclaimed angrily, "I've never met someone so stubborn in my life! I didn't see a bloody tatoo on his left arm recently, Sirius, have you? You might not think it, but there's still a chance to save him, you great arrogant git! Stop being a horse's ass and talk to him!" She let out a low, angry growl, her animalistic side showing through. "Arrogant, prideful toerag," she muttered under her breath. She was done. She was through with allowing him to get to her. As much as it hurt, she had forced herself to put the wall up once more, by means of trying to tear his down. She would be unable to do so, otherwise. He watched her bite her lip with a furious gaze, his silver eyes smoldering into her face. Tears flew from his eyes in fresh waves and Sirius growled angrily, the dog-like sound making it more obvious that he was extremely irate in this moment. She stepped forward hesitantly. She wanted to wipe the tears away, to tell him it was okay, that she was there for him, but he needed to let it all out. Her stubborness kept her where she was for now, though her mind was screaming at her to comfort him. When the water cleared in his eyes and he looked at her, he spun away, his anger apparantly returning. When she scoffed at him and retorted, Sirius spun around and yanked her up by her shoulders. She would have winced at the rough contact, but she would not allow him to see. He couldn't see how much she hated arguing with him. Why did she have to go and open up her big mouth? His gaze into hers was almost frightening, that look resembling his hateful cousin once again. But, there was more a sorrow in his eyes that she could never achieve, a look that melted her heart on the spot. Shakily, he muttered, "You have the love that I could never have, Kacie. You have the approval of a mother that I desire. You have a brother that loves you and you love back. Tell me, in what sense could that relate to my situation?" His tone had turned monotonous, his eyes like stone. He was growing into a statue, hiding everything, just like she was doing. She shook her head at him. "You know my mum blamed me for my dad's death?" she asked the question rhetorically, trying to stare past the wall he was building between them once again, "She still loved the bastard, for reasons I'll never understand...She kicked me out of the house, told me never to come back, that I was the reason he died. I kept an eye on my brother, though, until I left for Hogwarts, no mother, no brother their to say goodbye..." she bit her lower lip, deep in thought, caught up in her memories. "I didn't speak to her for an entire year. Talked to Thomas through the occasional letter, but even he had a hard time keeping in touch. I could feel the distance between us growing. Mum had been talking to him........That summer, I went back and tried to reconcile." Her face grew hard, anger and bitterness etched into her face. "Neither of us have really gotten over it, but we decided to put our differences aside, for Thomas' sake. He's only fifteen, he'd just lost his dad, however horrible he may have been. He didn't need to lose his mother and sister in the process, as well." He ripped his hands away from her, still furious, and she shook her head at him incredulously. "Where'd you go? After you left?" She demanded, needing the answer, for some reason.
He snorted at the look on her face. Angrily, he whispered, "And what does that make him, Kacie?" She sighed, giving him the only answer she could come up with. "A child. Someone with the chance to change, but doesn't know what to do. You know how you two were raised. How hard is it for him to learn the difference between right and wrong?" Growling again, he tore his gaze away from her, and she stared at him sadly as he did so. He shook his head when she suggested speaking to Regulus again. "I won't. Not until he proves to me that he's not on their side. Besides, I'm already growing bitter towards him, so what does it matter? Soon, it will all just be a memory." Kacie simply shrugged, disappointed that she couldn't talk any sense into him. "I can't force you to do anything, Sirius. It's your choice, after all." When he collided with her, he exclaimed, "What the bloody hell, Helms? Are you trying to get yourself killed?" They fell to the ground in a heap, and she gasped, the air momentarily knocked out of her. He glared at her as she held him, but he made no movement to escape from her embrace, for which, she was grateful. She didn't think she'd be able to handle it if he had. He chuckled softly, moving softly out of her arms and making himself lean on his arms on top of her. Her hands hung limply on his back, and she stared into his silver eyes, and she blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought him up. I don't know when to keep my trap shut." She smiled, almost nervously, at him. His body was against hers and his lips very near to hers. She wanted so badly for him to kiss her, but instead, he rolled off of her, looking dazed. Rolling to his side so that she couldn't see him, he said, "I'm sorry, Kacie. I didn't mean anything I said. Really, I am." She sided, rolling onto her side, as well, facing him. She placed her hand on his shoulder gently, soothed with the thought that she was able to. It was calming to her, relaxing. "It's alright," she replied, "Everyone needs to vent once in awhile. And I'm too nosy for my own good. Sorry I pushed it," she apologized once more.
