FEELINGS: Rune tends to think he’s arrogant, and to some extent he’s right. He thinks most people in one way shape, or form, are idiots, part of why he tends to be more the quiet type. Though, that being said, he also admits he’s an idiot sometimes. Coming from 1995, he is very much on the side of the order, and believes anyone that would follow “a self loathing ego maniacal psycho bent on world domination” deserves to get there ass kicked. As much as he views a lot of things in gray scale like rules and laws, he just thinks there plain wrong.

DEMENTOR: His father got in his face about something when he was 13, so when he told him to back off he got hit with a punch that disoriented him, and led to his father kicking him while he was down. Which led to his sister intervening and he watched his father choke her till she passed out.

OVERVIEW: Overall, Rune tends to come off as a somewhat shady character. He keeps to himself, has few friends, and when he does speak it’s often short and to the point. Add in his preference for cloaks and his sneaking around, you’d think he was a criminal or something. In all actuality, as different as he acts, it’s actually wholly misleading. While he is rather arrogant at times, view many rules, laws, and social standards in shades of grey other’s don’t, and clearly has issues with authority figures, beyond that he’s actually rather normal for a teenager.
When you see him with friends, he actually is far more talkative then in any other situation, and can even see break once in a while of his facial expression. As opposed to his normal indifference, or when it’s different only with his sarcasm, you can actually see him smiling and laughing for a change. One would think he is completely uncaring, when in fact he’s actually nicer then he looks and acts, willing to help other’s to the best of his ability when it warrants it. If they’ve done something incredibly stupid or wrong he still makes them fend for themselves. There are rare occasions though of it extending beyond friends, however, it usually comes in the form of laughter as first years run down the halls screaming because he jumped out of somewhere disguised at something.
Much of his arrogance though comes from the sheer fact he’s smart. Although his sister get’s the better grades, she calls him “wile e.”, refrencing both his animagus form and his intelligence, and constantly get’s on his case that if he were to actually try he’d get excellent grades. The problem not being tests, he ace every single one of them, part of his brilliance and creativity being that he has a photographic memory and can actually visualize things. (as an example, recreate in his mind as if looking at it the writing on a board from the previous time they were in class, and what everyone was doing). However, the problem with his grades is more that he slouches off the rest of the work, feeling it’s pointless and beneath him. This in turn leads to the authority issues being more of a problem, because while they stem from his father, he turns it on professors or even his sister when they get on his case about doing the work and all, leading him to get detentions as well. Even the “threats” of a professor such as Snape won’t deter him. And well, with him, he’s smart enough to break the rules, without technically breaking them, playing in the grey areas. Same comes to when it’s how society views things. Like when he was dating both of his sisters best friends at the same time, he had sound reasoning, but when his sister found out, he still spent the next week living on the street, too terrified to go home or anywhere she might go.
As far as relationships go, well, they work to some extent, even if he is dating more than one girl at once (weather they know or not depends on the girl). However, it also takes a certain girl to deal with Rune. They have to get past his front, and then deal with the fact that he is somewhat cold. He can’t stand overly clingy girls, they drive him up a wall, and he isn’t usually the touchy feely kinda guy. From the outside looking in it could almost seem like he doesn’t care about them. Though, that has been disproven, as well as that he’s not as level headed as he seems. Seeing as when a guy was harassing a girl he was going out with and groped her, he actually vaulted benches to get to the guy, yank him away, and beat the crap out of him. He is to say the least protective of friends and family, and not someone to be taken lightly, since he is far less hesitant then his sister to use force when threatened.[/SIZE]

WEALTH STATUS: Well, not so poor that all of his stuff is second hand, but some of it is, though he does have a wealthy uncle that kicks some money and such over from time to time.

OVERVIEW: Rune was the second child born, a few months after his sister. And while it would have been nice to say it was great, but it wasn’t. Shortly after his parents had been married things had gotten a little rough, especially after their father had gotten fired from his job. But it had gotten worse because after his sister was born was when he found out his wife was a witch, in the sense of actually using magic. He figured she could solve all their problems, but either A: couldn’t, or B: wouldn’t, which only increased his frustrations. Her family wanted her to just leave him, after all they had insisted the kids not have his last name for a reason. But she wouldn’t leave him cause she still cared about him.
But that turned to not leaving out of fear by the time Rune was four. Once again unemployed he turned to drinking, and became physically abusive towards his wife, and verbally to his children. His mother’s side, particularly her brother (Rune’s uncle), wanted her to come back home, or were nipping at the bit to solve the issue through force. But because he caught wind of it, Rune’s father would allow his cousins to come over, and was on his behavior, but would never let them go over to their cousins house. Rune became rather attached to one of his older cousins, mainly cause unlike the others she preferred playing with him, and they figured partially because she was half veela after all, her mother had been full blooded, but left her father after her younger full blooded sister was born. Plus, the two of them had an uncanny connection for causing mischief, possibly resulting in how Rune would become when he was older.
As he and his sister got older, they saw their cousins less and less, mainly due to their father’s refusal to let them in the door. He even started to become abusive physically towards the kids, but was generally smart enough to avoid sending them to the hospital. But once his sister got her letter, things became far worse for as he put it, “His freak children”. He became far easier to set off, and because their mother insisted her daughter stay there on breaks (with some excuse), unintentionally had him focus on Rune for that year. So when Rune got his letter a year later, he was more then happy to leave and ecstatic to end up in Ravenclaw with his sister. However, while his mom suggested he stay as well, be it influence from his cousin who was there, or being away from his father, he was actually bold enough to come back, and didn’t back down the way he had before. But this only created tension in the house. Finally, the summer after he turned 13, it broke when his drunk father came home and got in Rune’s face over nonsense. The exact words out of Rune’s mouth were “Get the fuck out of my face you worthless drunk coward.” To which he up and punched Rune without hesitation, hard enough and in the right spot of the face to knock him down and disorient him, to which his father started kicking while he was down. Then when his sister intervened, he pinned her and started choking, while Rune was barely able to speak or move, though he did try dragging himself over to grab at his leg or anything. The last thing he remembered was seeing his sister pass out, and his father opening the door and say something about his sister being a slut. The next thing was being in the hospital with his mid section wrapped, an arm in a cast, and his sister in the bed next to him. Apparently after dragging his sister outside and trying to get her clothes off, apparently with the intent to leave her out there naked for being a slut in his warped drunk mind, a neighbor called the cops. All told, His sister had some bruising, but no brain damage… though there was some degree of humiliation, Rune on the other hand had several broken ribs, a broken wrist, and several bruises and potential fractures. His sister was released the next day, he was in the hospital almost three weeks before they let him home.
Then, before the school year started, who should show up at the door but dear old dad. His mother tried to convince them to hide, but he and his sister refused. So when he kicked the door in and immediately threatened them for “Ruining his good name”, Rune waited all of a second to punch him in the face, and both sibling’s teamed up on him, doing fairly well. But when he got loose and grabbed their mother’s throat, saying he’d break her neck, Rune actually drew his wand with the full intent of using it on him, and had it not been for muggle police showing up, he would have proved he wasn’t bluffing. His sister had barely kept him calm enough, and when she asked if he really would have, he openly admitted he would have used the cruciatous curse on him if he had had the chance. Rune truly believed that the man deserved it, but part of his hesitation was realizing he wasn’t worth the trip to Azkaban.
After that point, things were a lot better for him, his sister, and his mother. Minus of course his getting in trouble for pranks, mischief, and of course the occasional fight. Though, he tried a little harder to avoid them after his sister pointed out he was starting to remind her of their father. His summer when he was 15 though was fun. During the school year he had been dating both of his sisters best friends at the same time. While both girl’s knew very well what was going on, having been on a date together with him at the same time, Aeryn was none too happy. She hit the roof when she found out, and when she went after him, he ran like every death eater on the planet was behind him. He was out on his own for more then a week before his sister found him and brought him back home, having calmed down enough to not break bones or do anything else to him, besides more yelling. Now in his sixth year, Rune was more than satisfied with how things were going. He had gotten a good hold on being an animagus, his father was… well he had no idea or care, he wasn’t causing trouble, his mom was seeing a nice girl, seeing as she was too terrified to date a man again and well, she’d always been more into them, his sister would be graduating the end of the year which meant he hopefully had one year left, life was good. So when Halloween came and he, his sister, and his cousin got stuck in 70’s… he was not pleased. Thanks to his father he’d grown up with muggle technology of the 90’s, and now he was 20 years in the past where it was nonexistent or in its infancy. Most of the people he knew or cared at all about were still in the 90’s, and well, the list goes on. However, he has tried to look on the bright side that at least theirs a bunch of hot girls in this year. Though, this comment warranted his sister punching him in the back of the head and calling him a moron. [/SIZE]
